"They killed my family in front of my eyes. The litter in which I was born was completely destroyed. I only survived because the Hunter's Association got there in time to save me. I've hated your kind ever since. However, I got back at the ones that killed my family. And I made sure they suffered for it," he told Joshua.

"What about the ones who didn't do anything wrong? What about those who only wanted peace? That's racial profiling, seeing all vampires as inhuman monsters! I had to see my six year old brother be ripped apart and eaten!"

[Masquerade]

"My siblings couldn't even walk yet. We were still young pups at the time. Blame your race for my hatred. I could care less about any of your kind," he growled.

"Maxwell! That's going to far. Shut your muzzle!" Lourette ordered the werewolf.

"At least you didn't understand what was going on. They forced my eyes open, and nailed my hands to the chair." Joshua replied, showing Max the circle shaped scars on his hands. "If Bridgette hadn't saved me, i'd be dead! I was fully prepared to murder every single werewolf, until i met Adam, who taught me what a fucking principle was!"

"What kind of vampire doesn't fucking heal?" he asked. "Vampires are supposed to be able to heal from such things. We werewolves are strong and heal quickly. Even as newborns we need to be gutted and made to bleed out for quite a while before we can actually die. Aren't you leeches supposed to be kind of like that?" he added.

"I wasn't born a vampire. I was just a kid. 15 years old. They busted into our house, shot my mother, repeatedly raped me and my brother, nailed my hands to the chair, taped my eyes open, forced me to watch them dismember and eat my brother, stabbed me and left me for dead. "I can sympathize with you on one part of that. I was once captured and raped by a coven of leeches. However, it wasn't just that. They would nearly drain me in the process," he replied to Joshua.

"Oh... I'm... I'm sorry." Joshua said, tears welling up in his eyes. tears for his enemy. Suddenly his phone rang. He answered it. "Hello? What? no, i won't do that! Your just... evil."

Maxwell froze, completely shocked that the vampire was crying for his sake. He suddenly felt almost bad for the things he had said to the bloodsucker. However, he remained quiet as the vampire answered the phone and spoke to whoever was on the other end of it.
