Nodding simply, Joseph slowly began to walk downstairs, heading towards the door but not leaving since he had to at least thank Shini for feeding and caring for him. With a deep sigh, Joseph looked at the older man and mumbled.
“Thanks…for everything by the way.” Joseph said while scratching the back of his head and mumbling. “I’ll talk to you tomorrow, alright?” he asked while looking up at him.

Shini was watching Joseph with a hawk eye expression as he followed him protectively down the stairs and out the door, he smirked at him softly and thinking it was so cute when Joseph acted like that, and thanked him like that. He was temped to hug him and kiss him all over, but of course held back.
"It was my pleasure" he smirked and nodding his head reassuringly., "you betcha"

(Holy shit, my longest post ever )

Nodding his head, Joseph took a moment, looking hesitant before opening the door and smirking. “Alright…talk to you then.“
Right as Joseph took a step outside and closed the door behind him, he knew the truth. He was already home. Slowly stuffing his hands into his pockets, the young man hurried over towards an alley a few blocks away, rain beginning to fall down onto him as he hurried into a dark passageway and luckily found a dumpster with a few slabs of cardboard alongside it.
Grabbing the biggest he could find, Joseph sighed in relief as he put it over his head, helping him enough to keep most of his body dry. Nudging himself up against the side of the dumpster and resting his head against the brick wall behind him, Joseph starred down at the ground, keeping his emotions hidden as he wondered what the days would end up becoming.
Shini was nice but…would he disappoint him like everyone else had? Joseph smiled sadly and chuckled. “Of course.” he whispered under his breath. “Everyone does…”
-
Flashback;
“I told you a thousand times, why can’t you fucking listen to me!?” The mans voice cracked through the entire house, Joseph’s hands covering either side of his head to muffle out the sound of his fathers anger. Why did he always have to be so loud? Most importantly, how come he couldn’t defend himself or his family like a real man should?
Joseph hid under his blankets when he heard his bedroom door slam open, his eyes tightly closed as he tried his best not to make a single sound. Even with his best efforts, his father ripped the blanket off of him, grabbed him by the back of his neck and pulled him off of the bed.

“Come on you little bitch, fight back! You’re a man aren’t you?” He screamed as he gave his son’s stomach a harsh kick.
Joseph’s young body cringed and he loudly coughed, barely being able to breath. He was only eleven, if he even tried fighting back he knew he’d only be hurt more, so instead he faced the ‘punishment’ of his father like he had his entire life.
Just as his dad was about to kick him again, Joseph’s mother came in and tore her husband off of her child, screaming at him to stop although it only ended up with her being hit in the process.
Josephs’ small body weakly stood up, tears in his eyes as he grabbed his fathers arm, trying to stop him but it didn’t do anything to help. He was just too weak.
“Daddy stop it!! Mom!” He cried out, watching as his mother was beaten before him, unable to help…
-
Joseph’s body shook, closing his eyes tight as the rain began to envelope him. Dropping the cardboard, he allowed the water to drench him, not caring anymore. He was kicked out of his home a year ago starting today, but it just felt so fast. Joseph wiped his eyes, thankful that the rain blended in with his tears. He’d make sure to get stronger someday, so that he’d be able to go home and fight back for once in his life, like a real man could.
Laying on the ground, Joseph took a deep breath, closing his eyes and trying his best to fall asleep in the cold rain.
~
The morning arose, although Joseph barely seemed to sleep. His night was full of nightmares, his body soaked and beginning to feel uncomfortable because of just how wet he was from the rain last night. Getting up slowly, he looked inside the dumpster, wishing he had some sort of extra clothes. The others he had were stolen by the other people littering the streets, so Joseph needed a way to find himself something dry, something comfortable.

As Joseph left and Shini closed his door he pushed his body against it and became more curious about the guy than ever. His house felt almost too big and lonely without Joseph's company, all sorts of thoughts raced through his mind. Thoughts likewhere is Joseph now?Where did he come from? Does he have a home? Where does he live? He nearly felt like a creeper, from having over obsessive thoughts about him, full of protectiveness and worry and slight curiosity.
He furrowed his eyebrows in thought, his face was a bit scrunched up before relaxing it and shaking it off. "I need a shower.." he mumbled to himself. Stripping his clothes on his way to the washroom upstairs, as he used his hot water and made the bathroom steamy with it, his black hair down and shiny when wet. He sighed and groaned lowly as he rubbed his face before walking out, wrapping a dry towel around his waist, and walking out with dripping water droplets to his bedroom, collapsing on his bedroom while thinking to himself. Why Cant I get this boy out of my head? He really hoped he would call as he fell asleep.
The next morning Shini was sleeping and looking almost lifeless and naked.

Walking along the sidewalk with his soaked clothing, Joseph felt it cling to his skin, always hating when it rained through the day. Even worse, the winter seemed to bring out the nastiest weather, getting rather bad fevers and even hypothermia at times.
Putting his hand into his pocket, Joseph pulled out the number that Shini had written down, and his heart nearly stopped. The paper was totally ruined, unable to read half the numbers without at least waiting for it to dry. With a deep breath, Joseph looked down the street and frowned. What would Shini do if he needed someplace to stay? Somewhere to get some new, warm and dry clothes?
The thought left Joseph clinging to his shirt. He should go….but he didn’t want to be a burden like he always had been. With a deep breath, Joseph walked down the street, heading towards Shini’s house and whispering to himself.
“Just ask for clothes…nothing else.” He mumbled to himself until he stood in front of the door. Starring at it momentarily, Joseph slowly raised his hand and knocked a few times, being rather hesitant as he hoped it wouldn’t be too early, not knowing the time due to the absence of a watch.

Shini finally opened his deep green eyes slowly and blinked a few times as he looked at outside, it looked like it rained making his heart stop and clench with worry and deep concern for Joseph, he furrowed his eyebrows and just hoped he's alright. Gliding his fingers through his shaggy black hair as he only puts on boxers before hearing the sound of his doorbell. His heart stopped as he starred for the moment, and really hoping it was Joseph and hoping that he's okay. He would gladly help him if he's in trouble.
His feet nearly raced for the door, so fast that he almost face planted on the ground while running. "I'm coming!" He said in a loud voice.
He opened the door only to see Joseph with soaked clothing, and how hesitant he seems to be at his doorstep,he widened his eyes slightly and his heart nearly stopped from the sight, gently he pulled Joseph's body inside for some warmth, as he must be cold. "Hi there.." He looked at his soaked clothing, "dont move, Ill get you something dry to wear. I'm happy you came." He said softly with a smile.
Within minutes, he left to his bedroom and rummaged for something small sized for Joseph to wear, "hmm."he furrowed his eyebrows in thought, wanting the younger male to get warmed up as he took long sleeved shirt and pair of pants before racing back to him and smiled at Joseph. "Would you like some hot chocolate?"

Waiting at the door, Joseph was about to turn back after slight deliberation, although he was cut off when Shini opened the door and nearly pulled him inside. Walking in, Joseph was still slightly shivering, looking up at the man and shaking his head.
“It’s fine, really…” Watching as Shini went to get him something dry, Joseph sighed and leaned against the wall, sniffling a bit and wondering what exactly he’d say to the man. He couldn’t tell him he was homeless…right?

When Shini returned, Joseph looked at the clothes and then listened about the hot chocolate. “I’m not sure if I’d like it, I never tried it before but…yes, I’d love some.” Joseph managed a slight smirk, still a bit hesitant but...he couldn’t lie to himself, he was glad he decided to show up. If not, he’d most likely get sick again and he really hated being sick on the streets.

Shini looked at him with a smirk and walked closer to him as he rubbed his arms to warm him up a little bit, although he was very tempted to give him a big and tight hug, not sure how Joseph would react to that so he'll give some time before starting hugging him as he kindly gave him the warm clothes, "you can change in the washroom if you like while I make us some hot chocolate?" he smiled softly, not knowing anything bout him being on the streets or if he had breakfast even, but he wants to feed him too as he glanced up at him. "Do you know what you usually have for breakfast? What do you think about me whipping you up some bacon and eggs?" He smiled warmly at him.

Looking at Shini, unsure as to what he was thinking, Joseph was about to speak but then felt as the man hugged him, startling him and widening his eyes in fear before holding his breath and just relaxing as much as he possibly could.
As he spoke of the bathroom and making the hot chocolate, Joseph nodded and moved back a bit for some room before looking at the kitchen nearby and sighing. “I…don’t eat breakfast.” he admitted softly, but then looked up at Shini and furrowed his eyebrows. “That sounds good. Okay I’ll just…get dressed. Thanks again.” he said while walking towards the stairs, wanting to get changed as soon as possible so he wouldn’t feel so uncomfortable.

Shini noticed some tensity in the background as he widened his eyes and pulled away, before backing away a little to give him Joseph some space, "my bad" he whispered softly as he scratched his own hair. Next time, he would ask if he could hug him before actually hugging him.
When he heard that he dont eat breakfast, he got a little worried for him and his nutrition as he furrowed his eyebrows, "okay, Ill cook something small and you could see if you want to try" He offered with a nice smile before smiling a bit wider, "no problem"
As Joseph went to change, he walked to his kitchen and turned on the stove, getting out some eggs and bacon and bread for the toast. He started whistling lowly to himself as he started cooking.
