Emerald Forest was calm and quiet. As our three boys walked down the dirt trail with the setting sun overhead to guide each step, the trio got ready to set up their campsite for their nature retreat.

Ethan took a deep breath of the fresh forest air as he said proudly, "nothing like spending a weekend out in nature. It feels good to get out of Diamond City!" With the site found, Ethan had dropped his bag down and began to stretch himself out.

Hilbert couldn't seem to agree more with Ethan, just as eager now that they had finally made it to the campsite. "I'll say!" With the three of them finally free of the shackles of highschool and finally, in his eyes, becoming young men, Hilbert was looking forward to his first taste of independence.

"This is gonna be great!"

He didn't wanna admit it, but Hilbert was less than thrilled about the trip. He had no prior reference to camping like his two companions, having never ventured too far out of the comfort and safety of Diamond City. He was a little sheltered-and more than a little spoiled.

"S-so, th-this is the...camp?" He was panting already, leaning over hand using his hands to try and support himself as he tried to catch his breath. He knew they'd be roughing it, but he wished they were just at a hotel or something...

Ethen turned and gave Hilbert, then Calem, a nod. "That's right. We've got some work to do before we can actually start having fun; we've gotta actually set up our camp, need to gather wood and prepare for a fire, and lots of other stuff." Ethan pulled at the back he had over his shoulder and put it on the ground.

"Okay, I brought the tent, so Hilbert, you got the fire stuff, right?" He asked, turning to Hilbert as he pulled out the large tent from his sack. If the three of them worked together, they could get their shelter situated quickly.

Hilbert nodded, "that's right." He set his own bag down and tapped lightly on the logs he had tucked inside. "I'll get a bonfire pit ready for dinner tonight. You and Calem can get the tents and sleeping bags ready." With that, Hilbert collected his log-filled and began taking some steps away, still being in sight so he could prepare a fire pit.

"O-oh. O-okay." Calem managed to catch his breath as he came over to Ethan, seeing him take out the tent. He awkwardly began to tug at the rim of his cap awkwardly as he managed to catch his breath. While Ethan and Hilbert obviously came prepared, but all he brought were his essentials, bag, and whatever foods they told him to pack. He felt like the load, but he still had to ask,

"So, how do we do this?"

"Oh, it's easy, just follow my lead." Ethan began to lead Calem through the steps of setting up a tent. It'd be useful if this big tent didn't work out and they needed to use separate tents in future trips.

"So, you got it, Calem?"

"Y-yeah, uh, I think so..."

Calem felt as though he was following along well enough, when suddenly, a loud snap cracked through the air and the tent snapped out of place. He quickly tried to grab at the end of the tent, but it escaped his fingers.

With the loud snap breaking the air like a whip, Ethan nearly jumped from his place. He managed to find his composure as he realized just what had happened over on Calem's end as he took a peak over on Calem's end.

With arms crossed, he walked over, "oh, you think you got it, huh?" He raised an eyebrow as he scolded Calem. "t looks like you weren't paying attention to my instructions at all."

With his bonfire pit done and having found some nice logs to use as seats, Hilbert was effectively finished with his own work. He got ready to make that declaration when the loud snapping hit his ears and he shot up to see Ethan beginning to lay into Calem.

(Oh boy.) He thought to himself as he smirked deliciously. This was gonna be good, cause he knew how Ethan was like whenever the two of them brought someone else up here-especially when they made a mistake like this.
