Heart in the mist [private for me and Amethystaura]

John laughed and looked at Gary, tilting his head a little.
"I will stay.. if you don't mind.. Have extra clothes in work so it's all good.. And..", he paused and bit his lip, thinking deeply. "..I don't remember hearing your snore yesterday... and your mean rise was without mayonnnaise.. and also breakfast.. and sushi! Sushi too was without it. Are you sure you like it so much?"

Gary chuckled and flushed a little. "There was none around, besides I didn't think you'd like it."

He moved a little closer.

"How's the rum treating you?"

"Really?? You would eat sushi with mayonnaise?", he asked and then laughed.
John finished his drink in two more gulps and sighed, licking from his lips any remaining wetness.
"Hm..? I'm a bit light headed.. if tomorrow would be the day off I think I would take another one.. but it isn't so it was my last one", he said with a smile. "And you? How are you feeling?"

"Experimental," Gary replied softly. He leaned over, pressed one small quick chaste kiss to John's mouth and then withdrew, still looking at him.

Without thinking or a bit of hesitation he kissed back. It was slow, delicate and full of passion. When he realized what he was doing he stood up, blushing furiously.
"W-we a-are both drunk. I-I.. think w-we should go to sleep. Now", he said and almost run out from Gary's bedroom.
Shit, shit, shit... What was that? What the fuck was that? He IS straight.... but it felt so good... What?! No, no, no, NO! You were both drunk.. Yes.. Time to go to sleep and forget about it!
With his heart beating wildly he found blanket, took off his clothes, leaving only boxers and covered himself, hiding even his head under it.

Having drunk 5 glasses of rum straight in a row, Gary was pretty drunk. He frowned in mild confusion as John stammered and ran out. The kiss had been a spontaneous experiment and Gary was mildly surprised to find that he'd enjoyed the risk. Better go check on his guest. The one he just kissed.

"John? You ok, buddy? Need a glass of water or an extra pillow? Need a pair of pyjamas?"

John heart jumped almost out of his chest when he heard Gary. He took few moments to collect himself before answering.
See..? He is just drunk.. nothing more..
After some time he uncovered his head and sighed. He wasn't even near being calm but he looked like he was.
"Yes. That would be nice. Pajamas, pillow and water.."

[Amethystaura]

"Comin' riiight up!"

Gary disappeared into his kitchen for a bit, and emerged with a lidded glass of water which he kept on the table near the couch. Then he disappeared into his room and returned with a pillow and a pair of faded green spotted pyjamas.

"These oughtta fit ya! G'nite...don' let tha couch bugs bite!"

He went into his room and shut the door.

"Thanks", he said before Gary closed the door.
With a sighed he hid his face in his arms. Now he was finally calming down. Gary was really, really drunk and it was all to it. With a soft chuckle he set his alarm clock and changed into pajamas. With another sigh he plopped onto the couch and soon enough was soundly asleep.

Gary woke up with a terrible hangover. The first thing he did was drink loads of water from the water kept on his bedside table, then went into the adjoining bathroom and splashed his face with cold water, waiting for the hangover to subside. After that, he looked into the mirror, examining his face.

The memory came bounding back.

He gripped his sink and stared into the mirror.

What had he done?! How could he have treated his guest like that?! It was one thing to be friendly to an introverted person with trust issues, an entirely different thing to kiss him!
