Heart in the mist [private for me and Amethystaura]

"Hm.. I'll wait for you.. I hate ride by public transport.. Way too much people there..", sighed John, looking at Gary's back.

Gary soon emerged from the room, dressed in light green cargos and an off white tee. He grabbed his keys from the fridge magnet where they were hanging. Yes, his key chain for his car keys was a fridge magnet.

"Come on, let's go." He started heading for the door, holding it open for John.

[zajawa]

"You look good", commented John, standing up and following Gary. "Sure, let's go. After all I need to change in work clothes.."

Gary laughed and looked over his shoulder. His heart inexplicably skipped a little as John called him good looking, even though he knew he was good looking.

"Thanks buddy, you're looking nice yourself."

They got into the car.

John smiled, shaking his head. Gary was really a kind guy to tell him that but.. he knew reality. When they were sitting in the car he looked at the other man and then away. Why did he kiss him back? His stomach gurgled as his stress started to rise again while he was trying to figure it out.

They drove to their office. Gary was still thinking of last night's events. Yes, he'd been drunk and he hadn't kissed anyone in a long time. Still...what did he kiss John for?

He parked in the parking lot and got out.

"So, I guess we part ways here now?"

John flinched when he heard Gary. He was so in his thoughts that he didn't notice they were already on the place. He got out from the car.
"Ah.. Yes. Have a nice day then", he said with a soft smile.

That day was slow.. and even a bit boring. He would love to go home but it was only twelve o'clock. Maybe it was good time for lunch? John sighed and went out of his office to go to nearby store.

Gary found his stomach growling and he frowned down. "You're hungry, huh? Ok then."

He hit 'send' on the email he'd been typing to one of their clients, explaining some pricing schemes the client could opt for. The he got up, stretched a little, and headed to the nearby store. It had both takeaway as well as a small section for dine in.

He walked straight inside, not noticing anyone else, and went for the counter.

"Hi," he smiled at the teenage girl, who blushed a little. "Got a chicken clear soup or something? Light but filling, that's what I need."

The girl looked at the menu and nodded. "Y-yeah we do. Please take a seat, and w-we'll give it to you."

"Sure," he said pleasantly. "Lucky the place isn't too crowded this time of day."

He took a seat.

John wasn't really paying attention to his surroundings as he ate his tortellini in cheese sauce while reading a book. Somebody left it on his seat so.. he just started to read and now was too immersed in it to stop. It was nice, light and full of humor book, perfect for now and here so he was sitting here, reading and chuckling softly from time to time.

Gary heard the familiar chuckle and raised his head to see John at the table across from him.

"Hey," he called with a smile. "You feeling nibbly too? Sorry to interrupt your book reading!"
