"Luckily not my parents. My grandmother said I am just like grandfather."

[Amethystaura]

"If you don't mind getting a compliment from a cute guy, I'll go ahead and tell you that your grandpa must've been quite pleasant to look at," Gary chuckled.

The warm apple pie arrived, and he enthusiastically dug in.

"Hey, it's all warm and crumbly and gooey inside with the apple puree. It's great. Wanna try?"

[zajawa]

Once again John's face flushed.
"T-thank you. You're n-nice to ..the eye.. yourself."
When Gary's apple pie arrived he ordered for himself a chocolate cake and then nodded to Gary's question.
"Sure."

[Amethystaura]

Gary cut off a generous piece of his pie and pushed it onto John's plate.

"So...in the spirit of taking things like a sport. Like...what happened last night. In retrospect we both can look back on it and laugh. So what other stupid hilarious things have you done when drunk?"

He stuffed pie into his mouth, chewed vigorously, swallowed and then continued.

"For example, the first time I really got drunk was when I thought Tomoe-my sweetheart-was seeing another guy. I remember proposing to another girl in a drunken haze. Yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking, but trust me, I used to be silly and immature sometimes. Luckily she had the sense to realised that I was still very much in love with Tomoe and turned me down. Then she knocked sense into my head. That girl was Agnes."

[zajawa]

"Mhm.. It's really good", said John, smiling when he started to eat the apple pie.
He listened to Gary's story and then chuckled.
"Somehow it fits to my image of her", he said and then thought about all what happened to him. "Hmmm.. I would say.. Yes. Well.. I was going back from Jane's house. I was quite drunk and.. well I really wanted to pee. I got out on the bus stop near some trees and bushes.. I would say it was small forest. When I was done I checked the table and.. I would need to wait one hour. And I needed to get home before curfew. My parents home is near highway and over it is small bridge and there is no pavement.. I don't remember why.. but I tried to get on the outer side of the bridge .. outside a crash barrier .. over the highway. Sobered up in the middle..."

[Amethystaura]

"That must've been pretty freaky! It would've been like you woke up in the middle of a nightmare to find yourself on the wrong side of a bridge!"

Gary laughed heartily. "But on a serious note, that's dangerous."

He looked at his watch.

"We have 10 minutes till our lunch break ends. Say," he looked up. "Some time later, can we meet up for drinks again? I don't know why. You're a fun drinking buddy."

[zajawa]

"Want half?", asked John when his chocolate cake arrived. "Well.. I don't mind.. just no kissing this time."
He was obviously joking. Gary wouldn't do that again and he would take care about himself.

[Amethystaura]

Gary pouted jokingly. "Aww, you broke my heart." And then he burst out laughing.

He gratefully took a piece of the chocolate cake, and then waited till John finished his meal.

"Anyway, see ya some time later this week."

[zajawa]

John smiled at Gary's joke as he finished his cake. He rubbed his stomach with a content smile.
"I don't know how they do it but so far I didn't find even one thing that I don't like here. And sure. Maybe Friday? Want my cell number?"

[Amethystaura]

"Yeah of course. It's a wonder we haven't exchanged numbers yet."

Gary gave John his number and asked him to give him a missed call so he could save his number.
