Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on Yaoi Ai:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0 posts) has maximum advertising.
Level 2: (A user with 2 or more posts who has been a member over a week) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts)
Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 30 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising.
Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

Its the Year of the Artist
Gong Xi Fa Cai!
Its been a new year for just about everyone on Earth recently, with the Chinese now celebrating their Year of the Dragon.
So, I want to know if everyone will help me celebrate another year of YaoiAI with the exceptionally corny Year of the Artist, right there~
Artists thrive on comments, feedback, praise, constructive criticism (most of them), and by hearing back from the people who've looked at their art what they thought of it. Especially if its good.
So I'd love it for this year especially, if everyone could make a big push on commenting on the art of our Resident Artists and the pictures posted in the Communal Galleries.
This guys and girls are drawing and posting work often specifically for our site, so before you make a straight line to mentaiko's gallery or some FMA webfind think about taking the time to post some feedback to our own artists - they CAN AND DO read your comments.
Last year all our resident artists combined got less comments than the Zelda Webfinds. Make it a Year of the Artist by appreciating them for the work they have done and are going to do in the next year~

woohoo!
yes, drawing (or any other kind of creative work) on the internet sometimes feels a little like performing in an empty theater... so yeah, comments are always appreciated! lets support each-other!

Yah, and if my subtle reminder to people that they ought to support our resident and communal artists more doesn't work...

i want to have more comments too! (after i actually uploaded more pics after that single one that is xD).
I think its important too, personally it mostly is what keeps me going :]
i roughly get any comments that are HELPFUL on DA either...
so help out and comment!

Now with images, Robdor the Moderator is disappointed that the last 450 comments on this site since my post, only TWO were for resident artists.
Thats a bit disappointing.

Oh my, I scared my cat by laughing out loud at the picture.
But yes, sometimes it does feel like you perform for an empty audience when you create your own art and post it, especially if it's not fan art for canon characters of anime.
