Frightened and panic, the young figure rushed through the forest, his breathing was hard and his white hair fluttering in the wind as he ran. The clothing he wore was more fit for a female, but considering the factor behind him wearing it, it was quiet normal. At least for his kind. A dark lacy cloth covering his head mostly besides the few strands of hair that had were to long to hide. His hair came to end just below his arse. His feet snapping on tree's that tried to trip him from his run. His breathing was hard as he rushed faster. One could ask why he was running, though it was very sure to have never be told. The male running from a life he wished not..a fate his parents had set for him that he wanted not for himself nor any other living soul...Marriage to a demon like man.

Hana, the young male that ran, finally came to a break in the trees, his gaze moving up to a large wall, he could hear people running after him, the branches trying to pull him back in, or at least what his mind played out to be happening. He rushed forward to the wall, looking behind every bush for a way through before finally finding a hole, he slipped through, the gab just wide enough to fit him before he stumbled to the other end, finding that on the other side waited a slightly large then hoped drop. The wall had most likely been created on a cliff to keep people from easily getting over. Though this whole led to a surly large drop...Swallowing, he fated his hands in his fall, finding that it would be much better then being taken back. He glanced behind him, wondering if he wouldnt' be seen. Though as fate would have it, his foot slipped and he slid down the drop, dropping on to the ground. Now in his head, the fall had been much larger then it really had been, the drop a safe distance where he only knocked the wind out of himself, dirty his beautiful gown and passed out...

Charles sat alone in the castle garden, staring off into space as he enjoyed the peace and quiet. Things in the castle were getting a bit hectic, what his marriage supposed to be underway and all. Charles wasn't interested though, various nobles had brought suitors upon suitors for his perusal, and he had turned them all down. He tried to explain to his parents that he didn't want to marry someone he didn't know, that true love couldn't possibly form from such a thing, but they wouldn't listen. After all, their own marriage had been arranged and they ended up in love. "Well, they were some of the luckier couples." Charles said aloud. He wouldn't have it though, and so far his parents had complied with his decision, allowing him to turn away all of the nobles' offerings. "Che.....all those nobles care about is the benefit of the union, not the happiness of the two forced into it......" Soon though his parents would put their foot down and make the choice for him, he could sense it.

A slight ruffling drew his attention towards the boundary that surrounded the castle, he maneuvered his way around some of the tall hedges just in time to see a person tumble out of a hole in the wall. Alarmed he ran over to the now still figure and gasped. He was.......magnificent. Or was it a she? The stranger was wearing an exquisite black and white dress that completely covered its legs and it was wearing a veil, out of the back he could see tail end of some apparently long hair poking from under it. It had a delicate frame and its face was petite, but it had an androgynous look, he couldn't tell the gender. Wait. What was he doing examining this person instead of helping them?! He quickly bent down and checked for blood, he didn't see any, so maybe the person was just unconscious from the impact. He glanced up at the hole, a fall from there would be sure to hurt anyone, especially someone as fragile looking as this! He put his arms under the person and lifted them up, careful not to jostle their head too much. He would take them to the medical wing and.........The veil had slipped, revealing a pair of long rabbit ears. Charles stared for a minute, shocked. "On second thought, it would be best to take them elsewhere." He walked across the garden and headed into the deepest part of the hedge maze. At its very center was a small gazebo. He walked up its stone steps and laid the person carefully on one of the benches that jutted out from the walls, he sat on the floor next to him, waiting for him to awaken.

Hana hadn't been out to long before his body had been lifted up, the feeling of becoming weightless having sent something screaming to his mind that something wasn't right. He could be dying! Though...was it really that bad of an out come? No longer needing to be forced to marry someone so cruel as the prince from the town over who'd only wanted beauty? The male had said it himself, (when no one else was round of course) that he was only interested in owning Hana and possessing him for his looks, not much else...The young prince had ran from there as quick as he could the moment his parents made the marriage final. Rushing through the woulds like the devil was at his heels. Maybe this was gods way of saving him...ending his life instead of having it ruined by such a fate...

Soon he felt something cool on his back, a few moments passed before he began to feel again. 'I'm not dead..' he thought as he lied there, his heart beating and his breath coming and going at a steady pace before he slowly began to open his eyes. He looked around for a moment, not moving before his ear twitch, listening. He could hear someone next to him. Slowly sitting up, Hana glanced to the side, staring at someone unlike him or any kind he'd seen..."Human?" he asked confused. Hana hadn't met a mortal before, having only seen kinds of human looking animals...So he found it a bit odd. "U-um..where am I?" he asked as he looked around, his bunny ears lowering as he sat up, his legs moving off the side to sit up right, like a lady (even though he hated the fact that he was brought up as such when finding out that a male husband was all he'd ever have.)

Charles started as the person suddenly woke up, though he was even more surprised that he was being asked if he was a human. Considering the rabbit ears on his head though, he guessed it was to be expected. "Yes, I am a human" Charles replied. He was surprisingly calm, seeing as how a being so unlike himself had just literally tumbled into his life. He watched curiously as the long ears lowered themselves as Hana sat up. "You are in with the boundaries of my castles walls. Specifically though, you are in the heart of a hedge maze." He stood up and looked down at the bunny boy. "Are you alright? That was quite a fall you endured." Though he wondered what in the world the boy had been doing squeezing himself thorough that hole in the first place.

Hana stared at the male for a long moment. He wasn't sure if this human was real or not, maybe he really was dead and this was just how his heaven looked...or he could be knocked out and be dreaming all of this. Though why he would dream about a human, he wasn't completely sure. It wasn't like he really had a set plan on doing so..He hadn't even wanted to meet one. He didn't think at least. "O...Oh...I..I'm fine...I think..." he said shaking his head. "It wasn't that bad..just sudden....it was either that, or....." he stopped glancing down. "Don't send me away...." he said in a smaller tone of a voice. His bunny ears lowered in a sad like way. "I don't want to go back...They'll make me marry him." he said, "I don't want to....They just wont listen..." Why he was telling this all to a stranger, he had no idea.

Charles stared as the bunny boy stuttered out that he was fine, shaking his head and continuing to talk. Despite the boys words Charles thought he seemed a bit shaken, like he was scared of something...or someone. The boy stopped talking abruptly and the tone of his voice changed when he began again. He was asking not to be turned away. Charles watched as ears lowered, which made him look even more forlorn and afraid then he already did. His interest was piqued when the boy said something about a forced marriage. "Ah, so this is one of those things." he said when Hana had finished speaking. He had heard of it before, princesses choosing to flee from their homeland and find a new life rather than face the wretched future of a marriage formed for money and power, not love. "Don't worry my dear Princess" Charles said reassuringly. "I won't let them take you, I completely understand the situation you're in."

"Though I am sure they will be coming here soon, to try and get into the castle. I will have to go and deter them. Stay here won't you?" he said with a smile and turned around and left the gazebo before Hana could utter another word. "I won't be long!" he yelled from somewhere within the maze as he headed towards the boundary's gate.

By the time he'd gotten it all out in the open, not wanting to hide anything just in case things got worse, he was pleased. Though as This other male began to realize what was going on, he seemed to have mistaken something. Having called him 'princess' he wasn't sure if the other knew of his gender being male...Surely it was a mistake on both parts for not clearing the air first? He was about to inform him when the male got up to head out, heading to go inform the gates to not allow his parents through. How a king could be denied into another's home, he wasn't completely sure. His father had always been one of the strongest men he knew...his mother the gentle being who fallowed what he wanted simple out of love. Neither having asked him what he wished for out of all of this. It wasn't marriage that had set him off, it was the person whom he was to marry. Who would ever wish to be married to someone who wanted nothing more then a toy? The guy had even said something about women on the side for a person to take the throne! Hana didn't want a cheating husband, He wouldnt' mind adopting...that was more needed then having bembo's around to fill in the gap...besides, wouldn't it have been better to just cut him out and marry a female if thats what he wanted?

Honestly, Hana didn't understand the guy. He wanted to marry him but wanted to sleep with other people, sure Hana was a guy, and he wasn't completely sure how that would work out, but still...It was insulting to know that ones love would be bedding another simple to have a child...Annoying really. And This other prince wasn't even seeing Hana as a wife, but a tool to use for sex...and a pretty face to show off to his friends. It was rather lowering of Hana's status.

Charles made way through the hedge maze and toward the main gate with a determined edge to his step. No one was going to force this person into marriage, not when, accidentally or not, the Viera had ended up coming to him and seeking his help. As he neared the gate a guard ran up to him "My Lord, two Viera have approached the gate! We have asked them numerous times to leave, but they refuse, they keep spouting some nonsense about their child being within the walls." Charles rushed past the guard and to the crowd that had now congregated around the exit, they parted as their prince moved through them to confront the intruders. Waiting just outside the crowd were two Viera, a male and a female. The former was quite large and had a well built physique, which was rare, even for the males of the species, he looked formidable. The female stood a few feet back from the male, looking shy and timid, staring down at the ground like she would have rather been anywhere but in this situation. "What is going on here?" Charles asked calmly.

"I am King Rosch and this my wife Fran" the male Viera motioned behind him. "We are monarchs of the Kingdom Of Ivalice and have come here seeking our son-Prince Hana-who we believe had taken refuge within your walls."

"So, he is a boy?" Charles thought before he replied "I am afraid you are mistaken. We have seen no Viera here, there are guards patrolling the grounds at any given moment. He would have been spotted right away if he had entered." Unless he happened to have the luck of coming in right between shifts Charles thought to himself. "We know he's here, his tracks end right at this wall, hes trying to get out of that marriage, isn't that right Fran!" Rosch persisted, and fran nodded her head slowly.

"I must insist that you are mistaken King Rosch, there have been no recent visitors to the castle besides yourselves." Charles stated again and Rosch snapped. Using the speed his race was gifted with he easily cleared the space between himself and Charles. Grabbing him by the throat they both toppled to the ground, behind him Fran looked shocked and the sound of dozens of swords being simultaneously unsheathed filled the air. Charles lifted his hand as a sign to halt. "I've spent days chasing after my irresponsible son, aiming to bring him back and make him fulfill his duty as a Prince of Ivalice. I know hes here, and I want him now!" Rosch yelled down at Charles. He looked up at the enraged King impassively. "I will say it one more time, you are wrong. And who are you to speak of responsibility? When you have left your kingdom to chase a person who obviously does not want a thing to do with you? I am willing to over look this incident, but I will have you know that harming me is tantamount to declaring war on the Kingdom of Burmeica and we have quite the fearsome battalion." The change in Charles tone prompted the guards to round on Rosch and Fran, this time he did not try to stop them. Rosch looked at the approaching guards warily, then back at this wife, who was on the verge of tears. "Alright we'll leave for now, but you won't have seen the last of us!" he got off of Henry and retreated with his wife in tow. "That was a wise choice" Charles said, still lying on the ground. He got up and dusted himself off. Many guards ran up to him, trying to make sure he was alright. He assured them that he was and ordered them back to their posts while he headed back to the hedge maze....

(yeah, I don't even know anymore. Lol, I hope that was good, I feel a little rusty.)

Hana was a bit unsure as he waited in the small little place he'd been left. His ears still lowered as he tried to be respectful of his saviors place. He didn't want to be rude to someone who was protecting him. It was rather difficult to have someone protect you if they were angry or annoyed with something you've done. That and despite his little running away, his parents had taught him better then to be rude. Though his running away should have been okay. refusing to marry someone bad for his people...what was wrong with that? Many things he figured. Most likely a war between his home...or just an annoyed prince who would find him some how...in some way. That and his parents who would also hunt him down til he came home and did what they thought was right..Or his father thought was right. Really...it was as though 'wives' had no say, they looked pretty and pleased the one whom married them Nothing more. A life like that wasn't fit for Hana with someone as cruel as the one whom he was told to marry.

Chewing on his lip, Hana glanced around, wondering if he'd have to stay in this place for the time he was hiding there, or if he'd be taken some place else. There was still that choice the other prince had of bringing his parents to him and having him forced away. Sure the guy said he'd help, but it could have been a trick to keep him from running away...maybe he should hide? but that would seem rude....Oh he really hadn't a clue what he should do, Sighing, his ears dropped low as he wrapped his arms around his waist, pulling his legs up onto the bench and curling into a small ball as he waited. He really didn't know what would happen, and that fact scared him more then anything else. How long would he wait until he found out that he would stay or not? Not to add the some odd yelling he could faintly hear. Even with his higher sense of hearing, he wasn't able to make out what was said. though he was sure his father was there doing the yelling. He always yelled when things didn't go how he wanted.

Charles rubbed at his neck absentmindedly, his heart still pounding hard in his chest, he wondered if there would be a mark left. Though he acted like he was unaffected, it was just a front, the ferocity Rosch showed was frightening. Even so,he felt he had dealt with the situation as best he could, there was no need for any bloodshed. It was doubtful that the Vierarian King and Queen would be back, there was no sense in starting a war over this, but he could only hope. He easily rounded the complicated twist and turns that lead to the center of the maze in his daze, having taken this route a dozen times before. Inside the gazebo he spotted Hana looking agitated and worried, he climbed up the steps and sat down next to him, letting out a huge sigh. "You're safe now Hana."
