Mark of Darkness [private for me and RedRose4]

"Nah... It couldn't be much worse than the one that is already there", said the young vampire and then thought what was there he would like to ask about. "So.. I already know what this place is and how it funcionates... but I would like to know how it all started. Did you start it or something else? Why would you do that if it was you?"

Rayne paused and looked at Alex for a moment, his eyes then shifting back to his neck as he began to finish up the drawing, making it rather rough since he was better at filling in details when he tattooed. "I'm not the leader here. In fact there is an older vampire, she lives on the far side of the hall with the two guards. She also has a son, who is of course changed, he's second in command, and I'm third."
Rayne brushed his fingers over Aleksander's skin, feeling where his artery was to ensure he hadn't drawn over it, wanting it to be exposed.

"Her name is Abigail. She started this place once she was forced to change to preserve her family line. She hasn't told me the details but she has told me a lot. Maybe you can speak to her yourself for more information, she's a very open minded, yet old vampire. Over two hundred years old.'"
Rayne put the pencil down and looked at Ashley. "Go check in the mirror in the bathroom, tell me if the placement and size is okay." Rayne said as he rubbed his hands together.

Alex shuddered when his neck was brushed by other's fingers. Somehow that touch was different from the others. Nodding his head he stood up and the headed to the bathroom.
"She sounds like an interesting lady", he said and then looked on the tattoo. "I like it. The place and size are right."
That said he went back and sat down on the chair.
"How did it happen you started to life here?"

Rayne waited for Alex to come back, smirking when he heard it was in a perfect place and the right size. Good. As he got the gun ready once more, Rayne nodded in agreement when he mentioned the female vampire, he then took a deep breath, knowing he'd be answering lots of questions for Aleksander, although there was no reason to keep it a secret, he found it understanding that he was curious.
"I came here a few years after I was turned. I was with my brother, and in that nightmare for about a decade, but I couldn't handle it." Rayne brought the needle towards Alex's neck and went on. "I got out, no matter how much the bastard said to stay, I left and found out about this place out of luck. It felt like I transitioned from hell, to heaven."

Before starting, Rayne rubbed down the spot, wiping it with the water and asking. "You ready?"

Nodding his head when he heard Rayne asking if he was ready he thought for few moments before speaking again.
"Yes. It's early to say anything but it seems that way. Though the other place seemed more like hell because of your brother more than anything else. I got myself a nice share of fuel for nightmares yet still I'm happy I was able to change the place a bit", he said softly, not knowing that a lot of people realised who he was and what he did for the place that Destro was living at.
It was probably one of the reason why no one tried to stop them when they were leaving after what the young vampire did.

Waiting for Alex to finish his sentence, Rayne put the needle to his skin and began to tattoo, stopping after a few seconds just to make sure Aleksander was okay before continuing. "That's true. The things you have done there are…rather amazing. I couldn't imagine the state of the test subjects if you hadn't said anything." Rayne muttered, being amazed by the vampires willingness for change.
Slowly moving the needle and going over with the black first, Rayne took a few minutes to focus before he himself began to speak. "You have any siblings at all? Any alive that is." Rayne muttered, his eyes fixated on the males neck, not looking away whatsoever.

Alex smiled a bit and was about to shake his head at hwat Rayne said but decided it wouldn't be wise to do that when tattooed. He let the silence linger between them, not really minding it since he was used to a silence. Then he heard Rayne's question. For few seconds he wondered if he wanted other vampire to know so much about him.. but somehow he realised he didn't mind.
"No. I'm the only child. My mother died before I can even remember and my dad when I was eight. Then his best buddy took me in and took care of the debts he left. Then he died to as well but by then I could take care of myself.. more or less. My trainer, Yuki, helped me then a lot. Though she's dead already as well. I have only one close friend but he lifes really far away.. Why do you ask?", wondered Alex.

Rayne felt something in him stir when he heard Ashley speaking of the people he had known die. It seemed he had no one left, at least no one physically, and that made it hard for Rayne to really image a life without family. Without Destro. No matter how much he hated him, he still had someone left, something that Alex could never have again.
Taking a deep breath, Rayne kept going and shrugged one shoulder softly while he spoke. "I was kind of hoping maybe you did. You could see them now but…it seems that isn't possible. But the friend from far away, maybe you can try to meet up someday." Rayne smirked and looked up at him for a moment.
"You ever travel by plane? It's pretty amazing to travel, I only did once, but it was amazing." Rayne said while returning to his work.

"Yes.. We probably would meet", he said softly, smiling a bit. "Also no. I never traveled by plane. First I worked to have what to eat and to pay off my dads debts and then to be able to have my own business so I didn't have time nor money for something like that. It was one of the things I planned to do after it all settles down.. and then came your brother, taking away from me everything I worked so much for... It was very hard to accept that."
Saying the last sentence he heard his voice trembling a bit.
"But now there is new hope... and that's refreshing", he added after few seconds, not wanting to sound depressing.

It was unfortunate to hear that Alex's life was getting better, only to have it wiped away from him, taken without a care in the world. If only Destro had empathy, it would all be different. Taking a deep breath, Rayne wiped Aleksander's skin in order to take away any access ink, and then went right back into it.
"Exactly. It's different now…those months of your life are over, and of course your life will never return to how it was before, but we can damn well try to get as close to it as possible." Rayne said, hopeful that whatever was taken from Alex can be possibly brought back.
A couple of more minutes passed and Rayne began to add in the white, his eyes unblinking while one hand stayed on his skin, and the there holding the tattoo gun.
