Mark of Darkness [private for me and RedRose4]

"Maybe.. I'm not really sure what will happen. I just hope it wouldn't get worse. And him letting me in this class.. I'm sure he had some idea of using it for his own advantege", he said, sighing and then shrugging once again. "Let's not talk about it. It makes me.. nervous. Mhm.. I was wondering.. is there any way to listen to some music here? I was thinking I would like that.. but Destro doesn't have anything like that.. and even if he would have he never wouldn't let me use it. Even more if he would know I want to.."

Ket then frowned a bit when he heard Ashely speak, making him sigh. "Yeah, that makes sense..." he mumbled, knowing that it could be a possibility of being true. If Destro was doing this for his own personal reasons, Ket wasn't sure if the class itself would even be worth attending, especially if the consequences of it was worse than the reward.
Ket glanced at Ashley, pursing his lip in thought before nodding his head slowly. "Actually yeah, there is." Ket looked over at the doors and spoke while trying his best to remap where it was in his head. "You know the cafeteria? If you keep passing it, head right and then take the next left after that, there's a room that's rather quiet...."

Ket leaned his head against the wall and brought his focus back to Ashley. "It's relaxing, sometimes jerks walk in and start yelling like lunatics, but most of the time it's quiet and people read, listen to music, and I've even seen a vampire painting." Ket smirked. "I like to read there. There's a wall with a large bookshelf, most books dating back centuries ago, although the music...might be tricky. They have a radio but I think that's it." Ket said while looking back ahead at the others.

"Mhm.. That sucks.. although reading books sounds like a fine thing to do. I wonder if..", Ashley paused and then just shook his head. "Nevermind. I'll try to go there someday. So far I thought every vampire is a jerk. You proved me wrong. Thanks, Ket."
Ashley smiled at him a happy smile. Running his hand through his black hair he looked around the classroom once again.
"So... how long are those lessons? Also how did you know I have them only three times a weak?", asked Ashley, glancing at other male questioningly.

Letting out a faint breath, Ket nodded once more and sighed. "Yeah, it sucks we don't at least have variety." He muttered, looking around for a moment and getting up in order to grab them both a cold bottle of water. Bringing it to Ashley, Ket passed it to him and opened his own to drink. Hearing him say he wasn't a jerk made the vampire smirk. "No problem. I'm glad to have met you." he said while drinking a bit more and then looking at the others. "Although I have a feeling Destro might show up, my own Master comes here sometimes to make sure I'm actually here. Usually he goes right afterwards." Ket shook his head and then looked back at Ashley when he asked about his schedule.
"I guessed. Mine is the same due to how strict my schedule is already. When I'm not in class I have to file paperwork, if not I'm in my Master's room and I try to stay away from there." Ket mumbled. "We'll get back to training for a bit more and then Olivia usually makes us do other things that don't involve fighting, just something to help us with being new vampires." Ket explained.

Ashley nodded his head as to say 'thanks' grabbing the bottle and taking few sips from it. He sighed when Ket said Destro will show up. It sounded.. reasonable.
"Who is your master?", asked Ashley, tilting his head a bit while waiting for the answer.
Not like he would knew the man.. but knowing some more things about Ket wouldn't hurt.
"And could you tell me a bit more about being a vampire? Can we be killed by the sun.. like in those all stories?", he asked and then smiled, a bit embarrassed. "Destro didn't tell me anything about it.. so sorry if I sound stupid.."

Ket kept his eyes forward when Ashley asked him about his Master, looking as if it barely effected him but his lips twitched into a frown for a short moment before he shrugged. "I don't call him by his name, but his name is Jlargon. I'd never tell him but it's a fucking stupid name. Even my pet name is strange..." Ket shook his head and finally looked over at Ashley. "But he isn't that bad, only when he's really hungry for blood, or horny." Ket said while rolling his eyes.

Then the vampire smiled when Ashley asked him that, showing he barely minded whatsoever. "Of course! I'll let you know anything." Ket chuckled, sighing and then leaning his head up so he could stare at the ceiling for a moment while thinking. "Sun, no it doesn't burn us, but...it hurts our eyes, strange but since they're sharper than humans it's like the rays damage our retina's so I wear sunglasses if I ever go out. We don't burst into flames, but what the sun also does is burns our skin easier, like a bad sunburn if we're out too long. It's as if humans were on the right track but ended up being a bit over the top."

Ket smiled again and then hummed. "We can't turn into bats of course, we can see our reflections, and the whole stake in our heart thing works. Although who wouldn't die from being stabbed in the heart? If someone damages our brain bad enough, it can still heal but it's slow, very slow. Some vampires are in a coma like state for up to days, and have to be given blood from IV's in order to survive. So it all depends." Ket explained. "Any questions in specific you'd like to know?" He then asked.

"Nah. I don't think your name is that bad", said Ashley and then listened to everything that other male said, smiling a bit. "Good thing about the sun, though. Living only at night would suck really much. And questions.. We are eating food and drink blood.. but I never saw Destro eating. Can't older vampires eat food? Or they don't need it anymore? Or maybe it's their own choice?"
At last he found someone that could, and wanted to, give him some answers.

"Thanks." Ket smirked, feeling a bit better about that. He too didn't know his real given name, although he had to get used to his new name since the day he received it. Yet again Ket looked at the others fighting, although his attention was mainly focused upon Ashley, listening to his questions and answering with ease.
"It's the bodies natural need to want food. You know how the first day or two you felt sick? It was because your body was adjusting, it's not like all of the human in you is gone in a blink of an eye. So...your body still needs nutrients at first, needs to consume things in order to stay healthy and lively. Although once you grow and you have more years of being a vampire than you have been human, that part of you leaves and all you need is blood."

Ket seemed to shift slightly while continuing. "I eat food still, but some pets stop eating almost a week or two after they turn. I guess it depends on the person, how their body works. Or maybe I can just eat human food still despite not needing it. It doesn't hurt a vampire to eat fries or a hotdog, but...it gives us no nutrition, nor does it fulfill our hunger, so it's kind of pointless after a certain point." Ket said, explaining without much hesitation although taking breaks in between while he thought.

"Mhm... Eating only blood... That doesn't sound fun. You know, there are all that good food and all.. It seems just like a waste to not eat it.. to not taste every food you possibly can. Though I have twenty two more years before I'll be able to life only on blood. And what with alcohol? Do vampires drink? Do they become drunk if so?", he asked, grinning as it was rather light conversational question. "I would love to get drunk sometime soon. It would make things so much easier. Oh.. And what with smoking? We can't have cancer with our bodies healing and all, right?"

Ket smirked and chuckled. "Exactly. I'm glad I have a while to have food, I can't live without some of it." he sighed and rubbed his stomach, glancing back at Ashley when he asked about alcohol, making Ket light up even more. "Yes, we can drink still. What's best is something called 'BloodShot'. It's blood mixed with alcohol, delicious. Although...I'm not sure if we can get drunk fully. I got buzzed a few weeks back, but I can handle a lot before getting drunk so I don't know about that." Ket hummed before smiling. "We should test that out sometime and get drunk together." he chuckled.

Ket then nodded once more while looking at Ashley's chest. "Yeah, we can smoke and do drugs without side effects. Anything that can harm us usually can't now, unless it involves our bloodstream. Vampires have very few diseases but it's possible for the first years of life. Smoking doesn't involve that though." Ket clarified.
