Awakened by tickling on his cheek he opened his eyes and blinked a few times. Cat was standind over him sniffing. He did not know what to do. Not run away, for sure. Cats like anything that moves. He froze and waited observing cat.

The larger creature flinched when Niko woke up.
Eventually she used her paw to lightly push him around,curiously,almost like wanting to play.
Just to the little one's misfortune,a second cat came in the house through the opened window,this one was white but had black and sad color patches of fur.
He joined Luna jumping on the table and observed him.

The second cat had longer nails so whenever he jumped off and on something it made a light scratch sound,which Lucius actually heard and finally parted his nose from the book which he was so focused on.
"How long was I distracted?" he thought. "It's...too quiet." he frowned and got up from the couch,going to look for the little one.
He was surprised to see the other curled up in a ball on the table,obviously he was scared of the cats.
Lucius walked up to them and picked up the second cat who didn't seem as friendly as Luna.
"Don't be scared." a gently voice spoke up.

Xuaniko raised his head and with tears in his eyes, looked at his master.
"Normally, I like cats, but it's terrible how they want to play with you... l-like with mouse... and you're small and c-can't run.. or anything," he said in a trembling voice.
He sat up and rubbed his eyes.
"Where were you master?".
He now had a tone of voice that said - I want to cry but I will not.

Lucius glanced down at the cat in his arms.
"Rufus wouldn't hurt you." he said as he ran his fingertips through the animal's fur.
Luna was still keeping her curious eyes on Xianiko.
"Hm?" he blinked. "I was reading." Lucius said simply.
He then noticed that the little one's eyes were glassy,he let go of the cat and leaned down.
"Oi...you okay?Don't tell me the cats actually scared you." he spoke softly.

"J-j-just a little," said Xuaniko, lowering his head in shame. "I'm s-sorry, master."
It's not like he did not have to be afraid. Cat claws could inflict good damage on him as he was so small and fragile. If the cats started to hunt him as a form of play...
He was a little shocked by all that.

"Honestly..." he sighed softly then picked up the other,holding him high in the air as he looked at him.
"Why were you looking for me? I thought you were exploring the rooms." he said calmly.

"I finished visiting the last room and you were not there so I thought that maybe you're out. Checked from every window and you were gone ....Sitting alone is no fun. Well, and my back began to hurt and I wanted to ask if you can do something about it, master", Xuaniko said with his head down.
