Messy housekeeper [private for me and Ybfan]

"Ouch. Mum Patrick is hurting me", he said with a pout.
"So hurt him back", answered Jane bluntly. "And get me some wine. White. Semi-dry."
"I know", and went to bring the wine. "Anyone else? Daniel? Want some?"
Patrick was in a really good mood right now. He really liked gatherings like that, with the people he deeply cared for. It was making his heart feel light and it showed on his handsome face.

[Ybfan]

"I will continue with water," smiled Daniel as he poured himself a glass.

"I will take scotch on the rocks. Medium shelf with only three ice cubes," smiled Paul as he gave his trademark grin.

Daniel smiled at Paul's request and watched with amusement. It has been a long time since he has seen anything like this...well felt anything like this. He felt warm and happy inside and everything from the night before was far from his memory.

"And someone said he 'Don't want to get in trouble later'", he joked and made Paul the scotch. "Thomas. Want some juice? Water?"
"Juice, please."
Patrick nodded and went to the kitchen. After few moments he came back with drink for himself and expertly done juice for Thomas.
"When they kick you out from modeling you always can be a bar tender, son", joked older man, taking his glass.
"Sure. Seems interesting. I think we should toast. For your health dad."
"And for Daniel's time here with us", added Jane, smiling warmly at Daniel.
"Yes", nodded to that Thomas and rised a glass just as Jane and Patrick.

"I won't be trouble now, Patty." Grinned Paul as he began to joke around with Patrick.

Saying thanks Paul and Daniel joined in on the toast and blushed slightly to Jane's comment. After the toast was done Paul talked about why he always got hired by crazy women or men that made him tail their lovers or spouses to make sure they weren't cheating on them. Daniel talked about how the kitten Ace seems to like toes. With that the timer went off as Daniel stood up.


"I shall be right back. Going to out dinner on the plates and them it should be ready for us to eat." Setting down his glass he walked into the kitchen.

"I'll help you", offered Patrick, going after Daniel. "It's always faster and easier to have someone to help, right? And the faster we serve it the faster I can eat it~"
He was quite excited to try what Daniel had made. Only thinking about it he felt his mouth watering. Ah well.. who could be calm knowing how good Daniel cooking was? Surely, not him.

"Sounds great. Now Thomas actually is eating fish compared to us eating pork. Otherwise everything else is the same," smiled Daniel.

Each plate had green beans, asparagus, squash melody. A nice hearty slab of juicy pork medallion (sword fish for Thomas) with some wild rice. The left overs were set on the table and some whole wheat dinner rolls with butter.


"Want to tell them that dinner is ready?"

Patrick just helped the best he could while enjoying the heavenly smell of the dinner. When Daniel asked him to tell the others he nodded and went to the living room.
"The dinner is ready. I think.."
"Really?", asked Jane teasingly.
"Yes, mum. So as I said I think..
"We still don't believe you son", laughed Thomas, sipping his juice.
Patrick sighed and rolled his eyes.
"If you won't be in the kitchen in five minutes I will eat everything by myself. Yours too Pauline", he said and went to the kitchen, followed by laughter of his parents.
Soon enough the older couple stood up and went to the kitchen.
"Mmmm.. It's smells divinely", said Jane, helping Thomas.

Paul rolled his eyes as he helped Thomas up along with Jane. Walking in he helped Thomas into his chair before sitting down himself. Taking in a deep breath he smiled. "Looks and smells great!"

Daniel smiled and waited till everyone was seated before seating himself. "I hope everyone will enjoy the meal."

The older pair loved the food and could not get over how the diner tasted and how excellent cook was Daniel. Jane even asked him to teach her how to cook like that. Patrick just nodded to every compliment there was said just too absorbed with eating to say anything. Thomas laughed saying to Daniel that he was the first person that made his son shut up like that. Patrick just rolled his eyes and continued eating. When he was done he looked at Daniel with admiration.
"That was really good. It made my day better.. and it's hard with this mean couple next to me and my friend not-terribly-mean here", he said with a grin.

"I'm glad you all liked it," said Daniel with a small blush, but couldn't help but laugh at Patrick's comment.

Paul was the same way as he busted up laughing and slapped Patrick's back. "You crack me up."
