"shhh....."
Rion looked at the swarm.
That suddenly seemed to focus on the threat.
The soldier with the grenade.
"Throw it..." Rion mumbled to himself..begging the soldier
wouldn´t panic....
But sadly..that was just what happened...the trooper dropped the greande unenlightened,
and rant for dear life, the swarm soon storming after him, leaving even more chaos between the other soldiers, who began firing at the swarm like there was no tomorow...and for these troopers..tomorow wasn´t there...the swarm splittet up, charging at every living being from every direction..
Rion widdened his eyes, grabbing Maye´s shoulder and dragged him running through the fight.
"Run Maye - fucking run!"

Maye watched with wide eyes as the swarm followed the grenadier. He was dragged by his lover as he was told to 'fucking run' Maye started hyperventilating as he saw the greedy scientist get stung plenty of times from sitting there still gathering plant samples. Thats what you get ,maye thought. Maye started running and due to Rions long legs Maye lost his balance and fell, scraping his knee on the dust planet. He winced "shit.."

Rion stopped as he fellt the presence of Maye vanish behind him..
he turned around. Running back against Maye. Screaming his name.
he shot at a few insect behind him. Getting to his knees in front of Maye.
Taking his hands and rising up.
"Come on!" He yelled, trying to get the youngling back on his feeds..at last dropping his gun so he could pick up Maye instead - and rant for dear life..

Maye panted heavily from being injured and being a burden against Rion. "i-im sorry" he looked behind them at the insects that were killing the fellow soldiers. He put a hand over his mouth "oh my god..." he looked at Rion who was clearly stressed and angered. He held onto Rions shoulder.... But felt a bump. He lifted Rions sleeve and saw a sting "oh my god Rion!" he pulled out the sting "you got stung!"

"what!?"
Rion looked back at his shoulder..
first now, feeling the imcomfortable sting and hissed..feelings the
blood from the sheer sized sting cover his arm in warmth..
Fuck.........this would surely mean his tomorow was none too...
He gulped, looking up again..he couldn´t take care of that now...

Maye rubbed Rions arm "well I took out the sting so it might be better than the others conditions" he looked back and saw the insects had stopped following them, feeding on the ones who died. "let's stop"

Rion nodded.
Stopping slowly...they needed to get back to base...
immideatly..he sat down Maye..becomming pale as he tried
to keep his breaths in control, to avoid the infected blood to spread
too fast..he were nearly white as he finally sat down.
Trying to grab his walkie and report back. He was aware , and alerted
about the high percentage of getting the genetics from these beasts..and mostly..those
mutations ended in painfull deaths, due to lack of the own body´s engagement...
The mutations too powerfull for the body to follow up..

Clueless, Maye didn't know what was going to happen to Rion. He was worried that he was gonna die, but gathered the courage to lean down and attempt to take some poison out of the wound. Nothing came out. Maye panicked

Rion panted heavily, laying back nearly
stunned by the shock of being stung.
The base tried to calm the two survivors by telling,
that they were already on their way, while asking if
anybody was injured after the assault...

Maye saw Rion was no longer able to talk so he got the talking instrument "t-this is soldier Maye. Umm alll of the other s-soldiers are... Dead except for me and rion"
