"Love?" Kaden coughed out, not expecting that whatsoever. Clearing the smoke from his lungs, the demon put the cigarette down and looked at Deiru for a few seconds before speaking. "Deiru...love is a huge deal. And I don't know if you love me, or if I love you because I never felt it before...so.." Kaden rubbed his head and wondered. "I never thought of that..." He then said with a look of confusion on his face. "Maybe. Shit I don't know."

"I like that idea." Grace bemused, already thinking it would be nice. Just one piercing, nothing all out like Deiru although the demon really could pull it off. When Akazu whispered to her, Grace didn't disappoint as she smiled wide and let out a soft giggle. "I think that would be very interesting to ask him." She hummed.

"I don't know... What is love?", he asked simply, feeling a bit anxoius about everything they were talking about.
Kaden wasn't onlyone that didn't know. Deiru was as lost as the older demon.. but he was blunt enough with his feelings to ask that question.

"I know. You will love it", chuckled Akazu and messed up Grace's hair.

Kaden took a deep breath, thinking for a moment before trying his best to understand what the emotion was. "It's supposed to be something you feel with someone, not something you think. So almost as if you're body reacts before you can even think about it. Hm...like if I walked into a room after not seeing you for a month, you'd instantly perk up, or...maybe feel a lot happier. I don't know...I never felt it before. This is...strange for me to even think of." Kaden muttered truthfully, not thinking of loving Deiru until he brought it up, and the thought kind of scared him.

"Akazu!" Grace whined a bit, laughing as well but then hearing the stove beep. "Dinner is ready to be cooled down. Shall you help me sir knight?" She said while grabbing oven-mits and heading over to open the oven.

"Isn't it scary.. and isn't it like when I wanted to leave? I... don't know what to think..", he said. "I don't know anything. I.. don't know how the parents love is.. I don't know any love. What is love..... I...."
Deiru stopped to say anything and just fell silent.

"You will love it", he repeated and then followed her to help in any way he could.

Thinking back to it, Kaden felt his heart ache when he remembered how Deiru almost left...the feeling of how horrified he was to even imagine the demon leaving. Yes, he couldn't forget about the pain in his heart and now Kaden wondered if that itself was love, or if it was something else.
"Yes it is scary. But...what if I do love you? Would you hate me for it?" Kaden then whispered, unsure of his own feelings so he couldn't quite say he did in fact love Deiru...but if he did, what would happen to them? Even that seemed to scare Kaden a bit.

While Grace and Akazu were in the kitchen waiting for the food to cool off, and getting the table ready, Kaden stayed alongside Deiru, not planning on getting up until they stopped talking. Even his cigarette laid forgotten beside him, his attention only focused not he demon beside him.

"I wouldn't hate you. Why would I do that? I... you are the only person that really cared about me... why would I hate you?", asked Deiru and looked at older demon. "You took me in.. and.. I...."
He looked down, his cheeks getting a bit red while he rubbed his neck.

All the fear, and possibly anxiety of the thought of love slowly left when Kaden saw Deiru stumbling over his words, managing to see that blush on his face and then....the older demon couldn't stop himself from smiling. It was difficult not to, Deiru just made him happy and maybe...just possibly he did care enough for him to love him. But he couldn't say it until he was sure.
"Maybe I do love you Deiru...but I still have to see if it's the truth before I tell you. So how about we wait a little, and when we know we care that much for one another, we'll say it. Naturally we'll just say it without thinking. Surely that's how love works. You agree?" Kaden whispered as he brought a hand up to softly brush his finger against Deiru's warm cheeks.

"Mhm.. That's fine. And.. I'm a bit scared as well", he said, hiding his face into Kaden's neck and he could feel how much his cheeks were warmer than normally. "Aren't we stupid? And cowards?"
Deiru just didn't move, his heart almost in his throat. It was so... scary. Really, really scary. How other people dealt with it? It was like making you one with someone else.. and it was nice... but at the same time it made you so damn vunerable. Almost like a newborn.

Kaden tilted his head up a bit, allowing Deiru to place his head against his neck, feeling his warm breath against his skin when he spoke. With a faint huff, Kaden kissed the top of Deiru's head and smirked while speaking. "We might be cowards when it comes to our emotions, but that doesn't mean we're stupid Deiru. We just don't know how to react right now...it's scary, it's confusing, but we're going through it together, we're not alone in this."
Kaden put his hand through Deiru's hair and said a little more. "Besides, how can you not fall in love with me? I think the night at the tavern, it was love at first sight." Kaden joked just slightly to lighten the mood. "Just try and go with it, don't think too hard..just listen to your emotions before you second guess yourself." Kaden explained as his hand kept moving through his hair.

Deiru started to laugh when Kaden said baout the night at tavern.
"I almost third guessing myself.. and if I react like that when I fall in love.. you should run already", he said and then started to laugh really hard. "Killing because of love.. Just.. great.. And not only once"
