Kaden only rolled his eyes in reply to Deiru's words, although the kiss, the kiss made it a little better. Returning the deepness of it, Kaden was left with his mood raised and his smile returning to his lips, especially when he heard Deiru's next little statement.
Chuckling from the other demons words and flick of his forehead, Kaden looked at him with a raised brow and slanted smirk. "You're right about that....I really do have myself a sexy boyfriend." Kaden leaned in, kissing Deiru shortly once more before drawing back and scoffing. "But you have to admit, I'm not too bad myself." Kaden left his cigarette in the ashtray and wrapped both of his arms around Deiru's body, resting both of his palms against the demons lower back. "Fuck, who knew we'd meet with you trying to kill me, and now look at us?" Kaden chuckled tiredly.

He smiled when Kaden admitted he was sexy. Not that he didn't know that.. but still it was very nice thing to hear.
"Hmmm.. You are not bad, you say..?", he teased, while smirking a bit. "I guess you are not. And yes.. you seemed so annoying then. Everyone did actually.."
That said he took a last drag of his cigarette and sent it to the ashtray. When it was done he got a bit closer to older demon and closed his eyes.

"Thanks." Kaden said sarcastically from Deiru's unenthusiastic reply, but it was clearly just them joking around with one another, something he appreciated. Knowing just how much Deiru changed...it was nice to Kaden, especially since he changed for the better.
Pulling Deiru closer to himself, Kaden kept his eyes on the clock, realizing he had five minutes until he had to get ready. That left some time..although it seemed like it wasn't enough.
With a deep breath, Kaden kissed Deiru's forehead and smiled against his skin. His boyfriend...the man before him was just that, and despite being taboo to think, it was also extremely welcoming.
"Sleep...I'll be back in ten hours." Kaden said, trying not to show how tired he himself was. He had to go to work, and once he got home he'd certainly pass out on his bed without deliberation.

Deiru smiled when he was kissed on the forehead. It felt quite nice and it surprised him just how much. Then he opened his eyes and looked at Kaden.
"You sure you are able to go to work?", he asked and then yawned. "It would be bad if someone would want to kick your ass and you would be too weak to defend yourself."

Staying in bed for another minute, Kaden looked into Deiru's tired eyes and shrugged one of his shoulders. "I doubt they can beat my ass, even if I haven't slept for days. I'm rather powerful if you didn't know." Kaden whispered with a smile on his face.
"I'll come back, do whatever you'd like when I'm gone...as long as it doesn't involve other men." Kaden joked lightly before unwrapping his arms from Deiru and getting out of bed. It felt strange...to have to leave but he knew he had to. Taking a deep breath, Kaden went over to his dresser and took out his uniform, attaching the handcuffs to his belt and grabbing the holster that was designated for his gun that was locked up at the station.
"I'll see you soon." Kaden whispered with a soft smile as he went towards the bedroom door to leave.

"Yeah, that I know. Powerful and annoying", he joked and then added with a small smirk. "You didn't leave me any strenght for that."
Deiru managed to stay awake when Kaden was getting ready.. but his eyes were already closed when he heard the whisper.
"Have a good.. day", he mumbled and with that fell fast asleep.

Despite wanting to make a good comeback, Kaden decided against it. Deiru was too tired, and right now he needed to have some rest. Smiling from just how quickly the young man could fall asleep, Kaden looked at Deiru one last time before walking out of the apartment, grabbing his keys on the way out and a quick snack.

Work was boring as fuck. At least the beginning of it. Kaden went in and had a long talk with his boss. He was in a little bit of trouble for skipping out on work but since he had made it up with a morning shift he was lucky enough to just get a warning. The first seven hours was nothing, not one thing happened while he was out on patrol although it was rather nice to be outside. The only problem was Kaden could barely keep his eyes open, and once it was nine hours into the shift, he couldn't wait to get home and sleep.

Kaden wasn't so lucky though. Just as it was time to head home, his walkie talky buzzed and he picked it up, placed it towards his lips and spoke. "What's wrong?" He said instantly while looking around the perimeter.
After slight crackling came from the other end, a voice appeared out of the static. "Attack on the west side of the building, we have two innocent casualties, we need you here now!"
Kaden's heart felt like it had sunk. All he could think about was his sister. She lived along the west and he couldn't help but to imagine she was one of the two. "I'm coming, keep it under control." As Kaden put the talkie back on his chest, he ran for it, ignoring just how tired he really was. By the time he got to the grounds, his gun was in his hand and he rushing over to the two bodies.

It sickened him to feel relief when he realized it wasn't anyone he knew, but it still bothered him that someone did this. Looking up, Kaden went over towards the side and heard a loud bang, flinching and hiding behind the building where one of his comrades were.
"There's three of them, I don't know who the fuck they are. They killed Matthew."
Kaden widened his eyes and seemed surprised. Matthew had this job for thirty years, and he was gone, just like that. "We need as many people as possible. Lock up the doors so no one goes in or comes out." Kaden felt his heart race, making sure that Grace as well as Deiru couldn't come outside. It was too dangerous for them both, and even worse if the murderers went inside...

Kaden stood up, about to run out but the man grabbed him and pulled back. "It's too dangerous, you have to stay under cover." he said in a loud whisper.
Kaden ignored him and kept himself low, hurrying over towards the nearby trees and finding a tree big enough to cover his frame. It had been over ten hours...and Kaden knew he'd be working another few extra hours this morning.

Deiru was sleeping for about nine hours before he woke up. With a small sigh he opened his eyes and stretched. With small blush he touched his ass which was quite sore from everything he did with Kaden. Chuckling softly he stood up and wnet to the bathroom to take a shower. That done he brushed his teeth and hair and then decided to change his look a bit. When he finished he had deeply green eyes and dark purple hair with a pink strand in them. Pinning his hair up he put on a pair of briefs and jeans. To that one of the shirts he bought another day. That done he picked up another simply recipe from the cooking book and started to prepare a dinner, knowing Kaden would be soon home.

It took another five hours until everything finally began to subside. Kaden was grazed by a bullet but that itself was pretty lucky, especially since he managed to actually shoot one of the men. By the time the day was over, Kaden felt sick, he was too tired, and healing his wound made it seem harder on his already tired body.
A fifteen hour shift was hell, and Kaden was glad to leave. When all the doors were unlocked and everyone that was freaking out was told it was now safe, Kaden walked lazily up the steps and towards his apartment. For a moment he leaned against his door, taking a deep breath and trying to make it look like he wasn't just in a gun fight.

Seconds later, Kaden twisted the handle to his door and stepped inside, smelling a vague scent of food filling the room. Rubbing his head, Kaden didn't even look around, he instead slouched against the wall and sat down on the ground beneath him before speaking. "Deiru?" He whispered, his voice too low for the other demon to hear. Instead, Kaden shut the door louder than he needed to, just wanting to pass out right there on the ground. Instead he took another breath and stood, knowing he'd need to eat something after barely eating for the day.

Deiru still wasn't too good with cooking so it actually took him about three hours before it was all ready and finished. Listening quite loudly to the music he wasn't really aware that something was happening so near. Seeing that Kaden still wasn't there he started to wonder what could have happened. Did someone actually was able to get him? Pushing away those thoughts he decided to make some dessert to busy himself with something. It was a bit harder than normal meal but he managed to do it at his second try. He was finishing to clean after it when he heard some noise. Deiru wasn't sure if he really heard it due to the hard rock music that he was listening to but decided to check it out anyway. Seeing Kaden made him smile.. but then he saw how pale older demon actually was.
"You look like shit.. Everything alright?", he asked, walking closer to his boyfriend.
