They use sounds to talk to one another. So this was the first time speaking in human tongue.

The boy nodded" hook me take out?" he asked as he reached for the small metal hook and tried to pull it freee it the others hair was tangled making it hard to get the hook out. After a few minutes the boy had removed the hook from the others green hair." there hook is gone" he said to the other knowing that talking thsi way was odd to him.

He swim close enough that he could reach. The human can see that there were gills on his neck. Opening and closing. He'll be okay, just as long as his tail stays wet. He whined a little as he tugs and pulls the hook in his hair. After it was removed. He felt around and was relief that it was out. When he heard him speak again. He looks at him. "H-Hook...g-g-gone." he said. Then smiled.
