Rivals (private for zajawa and ybfan)

[Ybfan]

"Bingo," says Ali over the phone and ponders for a moment before continuing. "Hey...want to meet me at the starbucks that is near the park? Near the campus to. It will be easier to explain than over the phone."

[zajawa]

"Sure. Why not. I'll be there in about.. twenty minutes. Suits you?", asked Bryan and checked on Gabriel, waiting for the answer.
He still was sleeping and it didn't look he would be waking any time soon.

[Ybfan]

"Sounds good. Going to pick up a coffee, want anything?" She asks and once she gets the answer, will hang up and head to Starbucks and then the park.

[zajawa]

"Nah. I'm good. Thanks for asking. See you then", he said and he hang up.
After said twenty minutes he was on the place, waiting for Ali. He looked really good wearing a black t-shirt, grey slacks with keys chain hanging from his pocket and sneakers.

Sipping her green tea latte, Ali couldn't help but smile at Bryan's figure. She was wearing low rising boot cut jeans with a belly tee and a white jean jacket. Of course she would be wearing her heeled boots just so she could have those extra few inches for other things just in case.

Smiling at him she gives him a wave. "Wow. A man that shows up on time is a rarity these days. Now, what happened on your end before I tell you my side." Ali states as if she had an idea on what went down.

Bryan smiled as well admiring the figure of Ali. He waved to her in the same time thinking how nice it would be to get her naked. Then he remembered he was here for something more than his own amusement.
"I'm always on time and besides who would be late for meeting with such alluring women?", asked Bryan with a little smirk. "And on my end..."
He told everything Gabriel told him about what happened. Of course he knew Ali could be just faking that she wants to help Kyle and Gabriel get togheter but he needed to take that risk.

Sighing as Ali took a sip of her drink, she found a bench to sit on during the talk. After she finished she looked at Bryan seriously before answering. "I see...so it seems history is repeating itself in a way," Ali then begins to explain about how her and Kyle dated long time ago and how he caught her cheating on him. She also explained that the one who seduced her was Trevor and that he was the mystery man that she was sleeping with. When she tried to tell Kyle who it was, he went into a rage and told to her never talk badly of him and left. That being the last time she saw him until they met at his work.

"So yes. Trevor is a possesive-monopolizer and it seems that they finally had a fight. Banged up Kyle pretty bad, but knowing Kyle. Did the same thing to him."

[zajawa]

Bryan sighed and rubbed his neck when he heard all of the story.
"Well.. that's one hell of a story. So - want to help me to get them together or not? Are you over Kyle or not? For me... I won't say I wasn't thinking about trying again but after seeing Gabriel and spending some time with him.. What is over is over. But I thought helping them would be excellent way to say 'I'm sorry for what I did'. He can be a troublemaker but he is a good guy. So what would you say? Want to help me?"

[Ybfan]

"I am over Kyle so don't worry. However as for helping them get together, I am not sure if we should. Kyle is leaving at the end of the week for that new job and I'm just tempted to just let fate take its course so if they see each other again, they see each other again," stated Ali as she took another sip and then shrugged her shoulders. "Knowing Kyle, a relationship is not a good thing for him right now. He needs to rebuild himself and if your friend has strong feelings for him, he may be uncomfortable and will just end up hurting themselves over it."

Bryan was silent for few moments.
"You may be right about it. His feelings are strong, that I'm sure of. Even too strong for his own good. He is a mess because of it too.. So you think it's better to wait?"
He sighed, his handsome face full of worry.
"I just don't want him to go through what he had after me.. He is already distrustful of people and doesn't really have any true friends.. And it's all my fault.."
