L smiled as the two headed back, waiting near the drop off spot for the cab to come back and pick him up. "You know, there is one thing I would like to know though." he began. L nodded as the cab pulled up, not really noticing the dismay that was going on with Light. For one, he just figured the other male was cold...Even though out of the two, L was the one with out the coat. "Would you rather head home or go back and begin working some more?" he asked while holding the door open for the other male. He didn't really want to force Light to go work while he wasn't feeling well. Maybe the other just needed the night off, get things straight and then work can start back up again the next morning. There was nothing wrong with having to step away from work for a while to clear one's mind.

L nodded as the two got into the cab. "First we'll be taking my friend home, then you can take me back to the hotel" he told the driver, handing him the money and addresses on paper. Why he kept such things, it would always remain a mystery. "Be sure to get some rest, as to help feel better." he told the other as he watched the world pass by his window.

Light nodded, though he had a feeling he'd be getting no rest that night. Or ever again. When they pulled up to his house, he took a breath, climbing out. ''Thanks.... See you tomarrow.'' He closed the door. ''I'm sorry.'' He whispered quietly, going up the walk and through the front door. His mother and sister cried when they saw him, and females seperated from family often do upon their return. And that was good, because he was holding back tears, and they would assume it was because he was home for another short night.
