Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on Yaoi Ai:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0 posts) has maximum advertising.
Level 2: (A user with 2 or more posts who has been a member over a week) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts)
Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 30 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising.
Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

Still a Probationary User?
So ya, I've been registered for more than a week, have more than two posts (do comments on pics count as posts?) and yet I'm still called a 'probationary' user and still on level one of the advert scale, with the full-screen stuff popping up.
Any info on why?

Yah, like a lot of things on this site, the text on the userlevels page has been endlessly copy/pasted from other sites very lazily without any localisation or correction.
So whatever's written there is completely inaccurate for this site.
I think the current requirement to move 'up' the ladder is closer to eight posts and two weeks.
My advice to everyone is the same, start contributing and don't stop. Comment on art, post in threads, vote in categories, leave visitors messages and aim for senior member instead ;p

Its 10 posts,any time frame. People have been registered here for a year with 3 or 4 posts and stayed Probationary.
100 to advance to Senior member or 2 months with 30 posts I believe.

Not when it comes to months. Also keep in mind the changes aren't instant. Takes a while for the system to notice.

yeah i have the same problem, ive been a member for a few months and have 3 posts with one (long as hell) story pending approval (and it has been for like 2 weeks lol) and it still says level one :P so ill keep posting i guess

I have had the same problem for a while, until i read this thread. Very helpful. I'll try to stay active if possible.
Question: What all does the system count as posts?
