-Teach me love-[For TimetoDuel95]
After spending nearly several weeks searching for an art tutor,a twenty year old student finally found a promising self published advertisement on the internet,it seemed something simple yet somehow professional so deciding that there was nothing to lose, the blond haired male that evening called the male that evening and informed him that he was interested in taking art lessons with him.He didn't know anything about the man but the youngster was almost desperate to improve his skills and didn't have any intention or need to delay this goal of his so the sooner the better, again,he had nothing to lose.
As agreed on the phone, the fluffy haired male gathered his art supplies after his lectures and took the bus to the unfamiliar male's address, eventually finding the right house. For a few good minutes,James just stood there, feeling a bit nervous. Not because he'll meet someone knew who will supposedly have a influence on his artistic skills in the near future but because he was getting nervous thinking about failing when he didn't even begin taking the lessons.Regardless, after a few more moments of hesitation, the youth put his usual smile on his face and approached the door before ringing the doorbell.
Since he wasn't sure what art supplies to bring and which not to,and he had quite a variety of supplies that he didn't even use,James ended up taking nearly it all which didn't all fit in his messenger bag so he was carrying some notebooks full of references and notes in his hands.Alas, just after reaching out and ringing the bell, the male managed to drop everything from his hands,a clumsy move right from the beginning.Hopefully he had enough time to pick everything up before his tutor opened the door. The blond haired male knelt and began gathering the papers,a small blush appearing on his cheeks as he realized how embarrassing this would be as a first impression.

Cole was in his own world by the time his assistant made it to his studio apartment on the top floor. He was finishing up some borders in a sketching, giving the borders of some buildings he had shaded in and drawn windows more volume. He was interrupted with the buzzing of his doorbell and put down his sketching pencil, his fingers being colored black from him rubbing some areas. As he rose from his stool, he grabbed a white cloth he had nearby and cleaned off his hands as he emerged from the large room he had all of his supplies in.
He was a healthy thin man, 5' 8" in height with thin, clear rim glasses for his near-sighted vision. He was rather pale from lack of exposure to the outside as he was dedicated to his self-proclaimed work that he posted on his website. The reason he wanted an assistant, he wasn't sure, but he did agree with himself that it would be good for him to have someone around in case he got sick or hurt and couldn't finish a project. He made his way to the door, wearing a white collared shirt with the sleeves rolled up, dark brown slacks, and black socks on his feet. His black hair was back in a ponytail, leaving his bangs to hang over his right eye.
He slowly opened the door and instantly looked down at the blonde. It took him a few moments to think of what to say, then he just smiled seeing the flustered blonde busy with gathering his supplies. "Do you need some help?"

Just when James heard the sound of the door unlock,it made him wince, shutting his eyes tightly closed for a moment since there was that wave of embarrassment, realizing that his teacher will already see how clumsy he can be.Well, there was no point in staying knelt like that. "It's fine." the blond answered in a fairly calm tone, however he didn't bother to lift his eyes at the man before he picked up all of his things and stood up to properly greet his soon to be art teacher.
Finally the twenty year old took a look at the man before him who was clearly much older and taller than him yet somehow the difference wasn't intimidating in any way,in fact, the younger male couldn't help but wonder how much experience this man had that he could learn from. Now only that, the fluffy haired male couldn't help but to peek a quick glance of the man from head to toe, stopping at his long black hair,it certainly wasn't everyday when he saw a male with such long hair so it was interesting and somehow,it didn't look bad on the man,or so James thought at least, gradually forgetting about the impression that he was going to make since he just ended up gazing at the male,a small gap between his parted lips forming a cute 'o' shape before he realized that he wasn't introducing himself and making the man wait.
"Ah yes,greetings...I'm James, the one who called you a few days ago about art lessons,I believe this is the right address." the younger one began speaking, trying to sound more formal than it was usual for him.

Cole lowered down and helped James with the rest of the supplies and put them gently into James' bag. He gave the younger male a warm smile. "Hello, James. My name is Cole. I'm assuming it will be fine if we start with first names, even though I'll be your tutor."
He helped the young man stand before allowing him entrance into his studio apartment. It was quite large for one person, with a piano in a corner of the room and paintings from famous artists on the walls. Large wall-like windows gave a wide view of the city. Cole closed the door gently and walked past James to the back room where he kept his easel and art supplies. "You can set your stuff in here if you'd like."

Realizing that he was rudely staring at the older man and started off with a too formal introduction,James felt that he already was making a very poor first impression and his rosy cheeks couldn't be avoided but he tried his best to at least seem cool and collected. He nodded his head, agreeing. "Alright,Mr.Cole it is then." the blond said politely and with a warm smile before he entered the man's apartment.
The younger one couldn't help but to look around, something that was common for one to do when being in a new area just that the blond was doing it quite visibly, even leaning to one side or the other in order to have a peek what was in the other rooms, though seeing the man's art equipment and all the paintings,he had no doubt that the man was good at what he was doing. Snapping out of it once more, the youngster nodded his head and set his stuff where Cole had offered him to then curiously looked around some more. After such a introduction,James felt a bit abashed.

Cole noticed that the younger man was having a hard time relaxing. He figured he was just excited, but the way he kept looking around and making little to no eye contact suggested something different. The rosy cheeks suggested embarrassment or something similar. He put on another warm smile and decided to show some proper hospitality.
"Would you like anything to drink? I have tea in the fridge and some lemonade. I can brew you up some coffee if you'd like." Cole said with his hands sliding into his pockets. He tried his best to stay away from sodas and anything that didn't come from a plant or something natural.

After setting down his things,James turned to the handsome man and politely nodded. "Yes,um...some tea would be nice." he responded rather calmly. It was not that usual for a young male to choose tea over lemonade though the blond just figured that tea would help him relax. He also took this opportunity to adjust to the new environment while the other prepared some tea and it did help, soon the blond felt like his usual self and went up to the older man.
"Heh,may I be granter permission to look at some of your works?" he asked cheerfully, trying to be polite.

"Of course. I'll show you my most recent works." Cole replied, taking his own cup of tea with him as he walked to another back room that had his paintings ready to be advertised and sold. He mostly painted what was on his mind, but sometimes he painted people during their everyday lives or even landscapes that he found interesting and inspiring. He set his cup of tea down on a windowsill he used to dry his paintings before going through a stack leaning up against a wall and he pulled out one he was really proud of.
It was a yin and yang symbol with a fiery background, but the yin symbol which represented darkness was colored with a dark red blended into the black to give it a more blood-like color and it was dripping down over the white yang which he gave a glowing white effect. It was the first time he used glowing effects on his paintings and he was proud of the story that it told. He leaned it up against a bare wall so that James could look at it.

The young man fallowed the other male to the room filled with paintings,Jame's eyes naturally wandering around to catch a quick glimpse of what he could before he had to focus his attention to what the man was going to show him in particular. But he did have to admit that judging by the older man's works,he certainly was good at his specialty. His works seemed professional, made with skills and still held a feeling to them which the younger one found charming.Since James had always had struggles with realism, seeing Cole's works with people or landscapes,he tried to analyze how everything was done, one thing that he couldn't deny was that great works of art was enough for him to gain respect for the man, aside from the other being older than him.
As soon as the man took out the painting that he was wanting to show in particular,James focused on it.He did notice a sign of pride in the man's face before he looked at the painting so it confused him,why was he so proud of this one when the other's were more detailed? For a while, which nearly turned into a full minute,James simply looked at it quietly. He wasn't analyzing this as much, trying to figure out what story it was trying to tell, since it was more like symbolism either way.The blond knew that the Yin yang symbol meant balance but the effects and slightly details added,it made him wonder.
After such focused silence, the blond slowly lifted his gaze to look at Cole and asked in a honest and soft tone. "Is there something bothering you?"

"Oh, no, sorry it's just...I've never had anyone interested in my works other than through online auctions. I have had people come forward before claiming to be fans and they were disappointed because I didn't copy a certain style from so-and-so or I didn't do this and I didn't do that. Yes, I use some techniques from old artists like Michelangelo, but I don't copy and paste everything he did to my works." Cole replied as he sat down slowly in a chair by the window.
"Realism is something I like to focus on, because I like painting things we see everyday as soon as we step outside that normal people just glance over and don't even bother seeing the story behind what they're seeing." Cole went on as he took the glass of tea from the sill and he gestured to the yin and yang picture. "That's the only non-realism painting that I made and I think it turned out well. The struggles between good and bad, with the bad always finding a way to taint the good. I started thinking of serial killers, rapists, big business men who have the face of a kind, everyday civilian but are hiding a heart that's as black as sin."
The more Cole talked, the more passionate he got about the subject he was talking about. He was passionate about what he did, even if he didn't look it at first, but he was also passionate about a lot of things and this might contribute to why he seemed to a lot of people as easily excitable when really he just had a lot of heart in art in general.
"What do you think? What picture speaks out to you the most in that stack?" Cole asked. "I noticed in your e-mail that you said you were having problems dealing with realism in general and that's why you sought out my works."
