"I live not so far from Quin", he said quietly. "And why do you want to know where's the pub my mum works?"
Why the fuck he would tell someone all that? Shino didn't know the guy after all. He was pretty much a stranger. Quin was taking him home but that didn't mean he would just answer all his questions. Jonas was in trouble.. and that was clear but.. Whatever. Casey wouldn't tell just anyone where he lives. Though he still was curious what kind of troubles brought this stranger into their lifes. Was he some.. runaway? Something else happened? Where were his parents?

Fifteen minutes. It seemed like a good enough distance away from school. He couldn't believe it, but school was starting to look like more of a safe haven right now. He might actually have to spend all day there. Whoever was following him would never be able to spy on him when he was with hundreds of other students. When Quin told him about his neighbours, Jonas felt a wave of relief wash over him. He was thankful that they weren't invasive. The last thing he needed was for more people to try and snoop him out. Jonas turned around and looked through the window one last time just to make sure no one was following them. It seemed alright so far.
When Casey answered him, Jonas couldn't help but let out a heavy sigh. It was a simple question. "If you don't want to give me specifics, that's fine. The only reason I wanted to know was..." Jonas tried to word the rest of his sentence in a way that wouldn't panic the teens. "Look, the man I sent you a picture of is not from here. That means he was sent here to look for me. If there are people looking for me, and have enough resources to know that I ended up in this quiet little town...I don't want to know what else they'd be able to find out. If this man, if he works for some sort of group, the last thing I want is them threatening your families to get information on me."
And for the first time in centuries, Jonas felt scared and guilty. "I really don't want to fuck you two over, but I had to drag you into this. If these people find out you're associating with me, something tells me you'd be in great danger. I would never, ever endanger the life of an innocent mortal, but I had to. If these people find me...it's not my own fate that I'm worried about. It's the fate of my people." He told them. He didn't want to tell them right now why he was being so cryptic, but he needed to tell them the truth.
"Please get to your house quickly. The quicker you two know about me, the better off we'll all be.".

Quin wasn’t surprised by what Casey had said, although why wouldn’t he be? He had no reason to tell Jonas about where his mother worked, and even the redhead was a bit against that. But then, Quin heard Jonas speak of the reason he was doing this, and instantly his hands grasped the steering wheel a little tighter.
Their lives at stake? There was a moment where Quin hesitated if he should park along the side of the road or not to talk about it, but instead he thought it would be best to keep driving. If there was actually someone following Jonas, it would be a horrible idea to stop the car.
Glancing in the mirror once more, Quin clenched his jaw and felt slightly angry. He put his, and Casey’s life in danger, but at the same time, the redhead wasn’t someone who liked to ignore people in need of help. “Mortals? Your people? What the hell…you’ll tell us more when we’re at my house, right?” Quin asked. They were almost half way there already, although it was so difficult to concentrate with all of the new information.
Taking a deep breath, Quin then began to speak with a more relaxed voice, although it was still obvious he was even concerned. “Look, I’ll bring you to my house and we’ll all be fine. No one’s behind us, I doubt they can catch up now.” Quin said in reassurance.
The next ten minutes went by rather slow for Quin, it wasn’t until he got into the driveway of his house that he seemed to calm down a bit. Turning off the car and taking out his house keys, the redhead opened the door to his car and headed towards the front door to unlock it.
“Go ahead, make yourself at home.” Quin said to either of the men, although of course he knew Casey would have no problem with that. He’s been over enough to call his house his own home.

Casey's jaw almost dropped on the floor when he heard Jonas. Mortals? What the fuck? Though before he was able to voice any of his thoughts he heard Quin and actually chuckled. He knew it wasn't a time for that but he asked exactly what he wanted to.. and that was kind of.. hilarious. Covering his face with his hands he tried to stop smiling. Something really serious was happening and here.. he wanted to laugh so much.. and so hard. It was really hard to stop himself. Shino tried to calm himself a bit but the more he tried the more he wanted to laugh. At last he was able to suppress it. With a deep sigh he put his nahd on his lap and waited to hear what Jonas had them to tell. Would he be just some of those crazy kids thinking they are werewolfs or vampires? Maybe some other psycho? He was actually curious.
"You know both how crazy it all sounds, right?", he asked in a tone of voice one could ask about weather.
Entering Quin's house he chuckled.
"Of course I would", he said and made his way to the kitchen, opening the fridge. "I'm taking cola out for myself. Anyone wants too?"

Jonas stepped out of the car and picked up his backpack. They arrived at Quin's house safely, without any sign of followers. The sigh of relief that escaped Jonas' lips was a lot heavier than he expected. He could let his guard down for just a moment. The pale teen followed Quin and Casey into the house. It was a nice abode, moderately decorated with family photos and other miscellaneous ornaments. He stepped into the kitchen with the other boys. Casey seemed extremely calm about the entire situation, grabbing himself a drink. Quin seemed to be feigning calmness, but he knew that he was still a bit concerned. Right away, Jonas headed over to the windows in the kitchen and closed the blinds. No one could know he was here.
He plopped his backpack on the floor and took a deep breath. This was going to be the first time he had ever revealed his secret. He wasn't really sure how to go about it. "So, the truth." Jonas said with a worried look on his face. He took another deep breath. "I'm not human." Jonas told them. "I'm a vampire." As he finally revealed his secret, he closed his eyes. When they opened again, the colour had changed from hazel to red. Then, he opened his mouth wide and let the teens watch as his canines grew into razor sharp fangs. "The reason I moved here was because someone nearly found out about me in the last town I was in. There was a teacher who suspected me of being a vampire. Everyone thought he was a whack job, but he was on to something. Before he got too close, I had to kill him. And once I did, I moved here so no one could ever catch me."
Jonas could only imagine how much of this the teens were actually processing. "The man who was following me...he didn't look like any of the other people who were on to me. I don't know for sure if he is trying to find out my secret, but I can't take any risks. If I get found out, then the whole world will find out that vampires exist. There are tons of other vampires out there in the world. Some of them are even famous. I can't put them in danger. If people find out about us, they'll want us killed. My parents told me about the Middle Ages. They hunted us down. Today it wouldn't be any different." Jonas told them.
"I know this is a lot to process, and I'm sorry I dragged you into this, but my back was against the wall. I didn't put you in danger to save my ass. I put you in danger to save my people." He said. Then, there was a long period of silence. He had no idea what to say next. "If you guys have any questions, I'd love to answer them. I need you guys to trust me, and I'm willing to tell you guys secrets that are centuries old if that's what it takes."

Quin walked into the kitchen as well, joining Casey and nodding his head. “Sure, I’ll have one.” he said while glancing back over at Jonas and noticing how different he seemed. It was as though nothing had happened, and that wasn’t a good thing. Quin knew he must have been hiding something at least, it couldn’t be possible he went from being so nervous to being completely calm.
Waiting for his drink, Quin kept his eyes on Jonas as he began to speak, and right away, what he heard he couldn’t believe. “A vampire?” he chuckled, obviously not thinking he was serious. “Yeah right.” he was about to say something else, but Quin stopped when he noticed how serious Jonas was.
Seeing his eyes change, and how sharp his teeth were, the redheads body tensed up, and his eyes fixated upon the man before him. Listening to every single word Jonas spoke, Quin looked shocked the entire time. He heard the rumors of vampires, but of course he didn’t believe it…but now, he had to. There was a vampire right in front of him.
Quin looked at Casey quickly before focusing back on the other male. “So…we can be killed because of this? And you’re…” Quin shook his head. He didn’t know if it was terrifying, or…intriguing .
Pursing his lip, the man took a deep breath and shook his head. “It’s hard to process.” he muttered, unsure of what to say since he was surprised to say the least. “Alright, so if you’re a vampire, does that mean you drink human blood? If so, are we safe with you?” Quin asked, his question not showing any signs of hostility, in fact he seemed calm, more than usual maybe. It was probably just for now, but the redhead really was in too much of shock to overreact. “Will you drink from us?” he muttered while looking at Jonas’ mouth.

Casey gave Quin his cola and opening it he started to drink. Hearing Jonas saying he was a vampire didn't really surprised him. So a psycho huh? But then he saw those fangs and eyes turning into red. Shino almost chocked at that sight. Hearing out everything Jonas had to say he then looked at Quin. Hearing his questions he shook his head and then looked back at Jonas.
"So.. you killed that man because he started to suspect something.. Would you do the same if some from our school would? And there are lately people going missing. Was it because of you or your kin?", he asked and unlike Quin he didn't seem so calm.. more like angry actually. "And those animals.. Is that all your job?"
Just imagining it could happen to his mother going on the walk with triplets he was getting really angry. But before he would act any way he needed to know if it was Jonas or not. It wouldn't be fair judge someone without full information.

All of the questions were valid. After all, vampires didn't exactly have the best portrayal in human media. "Yes, I do drink blood. It's not the only thing I need to survive, but it's essential. It's like how you guys need to keep drinking water to stay hydrated, I need to keep drinking blood to stay strong. If I don't I get extremely weak. Basically bed ridden." Jonas told them. "Am I going to drink off of you guys? Absolutely not. I have a sort of system when it comes to who I drink from." Jonas explained. "I typically only drink from humans who have broken the law. I'm sort of like a vigilante I guess." He said.
He then hung his head and looked at the floor. "That isn't to say I haven't drank from innocent humans before. Sometimes the bloodlust becomes too strong. It's in our nature to be vicious, blood-sucking monsters. But I promise to never drink from you two, or your loved ones. As strong as my need to drink may become, I can still control myself to not drink from you. I've had centuries to learn how to control myself." He told them as he turned to face Casey. "Yes, I did kill the man because he was starting to suspect something. He was extremely close to piecing it all together. Am I proud of what I did? No. Do I regret it? No. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat." Jonas answered him honestly. "I need to protect my kind. No one else has revealed the secret, I can't be the first. All of the missing people and strange deaths you've read about...they're all me. As far as I know, I'm the only vampire in this part of the country. If there are others, they are far better at disposing of the bodies than I am."
Jonas took a deep breath as he continued to explain himself. "The animals that have turned up are what happens when I can't find someone to drink on. That's why there's far less of them. I can drink animal blood, but it doesn't really do much for me. It's just enough for me to survive. I need human blood pumping through me." He took another deep breath. He could only imagine what a savage image they had of him in their heads right now. "No matter what happens, I promise to keep you safe. I dragged you into this, so its my job to protect you, and your loved ones. I will not allow anyone to get hurt for my fuck ups." He told them. "It takes something special to kill a vampire, so I'm pretty much invulnerable. Plus, vampires have almost a heightened sense of everything. Some say its because of the magic in our genetics from the first vampires. We're extremely agile, deceptive strong, and our senses are extremely focused."
"With that said, I'll need your guys help again tonight. I need to drive back to my place to get the rest of my things, and I'll need you guys to be a lookout. As heightened as my senses are, I can't see through walls." He jested, trying to lighten the mood a bit. "Quin...how long can I stay? I will try to find a safe place to relocate to when we come back tonight, but it would be nice to know I have some time to do some thorough research."

Listening to what Casey said, yet again Quin wasn’t surprised to hear such a reply from his friend. He really is outspoken, and if the redhead wasn’t in such a stunned state of mind, he’d most likely be saying the same things.
Glancing at Jonas, Quin made sure to listen to what he said about the drinking. So he didn’t just go around taking blood from anyone? Of course, that was good news, although the fact that the man in front of them was a vampire who drinks blood in the first place is strange enough by itself.
Although what Jonas said next really made Quin uneasy. He was the one killing those people? It was hard to digest, especially because he couldn’t understand how taking numerous lives could compensate for protecting his race. Quin breathed deeply, rubbing his forehead and trying to register everything at once.
It wasn’t until Jonas mentioned his name that Quin really made sure to listen. It was difficult to really say how he felt about it all, how long the man should stay after saying all of that. Quin couldn’t imagine kicking him out, but at the same time….he just admitted to killing people, and being a vampire, it wasn’t like he had many guests with that sort of record.
Looking over at Casey, Quin began to speak with slight hesitance. “I…” The redhead took a even breath in, before letting it out and speaking more clearly. “You said you can keep us safe. We can’t overpower you, so there isn’t a point in being hostile towards you. So…I’ll let you stay until you feel it’s necessary to leave. I know it’s hard to understand why I’m allowing it Casey, but I’d much rather be in a house with Jonas than be here alone just in time for someone to break the door down and interrogate me.” Quin answered, still a little ambivalent with his own choice. “Stay as long as you have to, but leave whenever you can.” Quin said finally while looking at Jonas, his expression full of uncertainty.
