The Truth About Papa

"You're confused is all." Maki said. "If you told me earlier then I could've helped." he let out a breath putting the food on the table.

[Sentaro]

"I'm not confused. I know very well what I'm feeling. I'm not a kid anymore. Oh and how would you have helped me? By telling me those feelings are wrong and not real?" Minato retorted feeling like his father just didn't even tried to understand him. "I feel not hungry anymore." He added getting up and leaving the kitchen to go back to his room.

Maki sighed, "I had a feeling this would happen." he frowned. "Mina...I wish you were here... your son needs his mother right now..." he sat and ate alone. He didn't eat much. He'd only eaten a little when he decided he was full. He cleaned up and went to his room to get ready for work. When he was dressed he went to the door of Minato's room. "Minato.... I'm going to work, do your homework, when I get home we can talk...." he wanted to see Minato face to face but put a hand against the door for a moment letting out a breath then turned. "...bye.." he started off.

[Sentaro]

Minato was still felling a bit angry though he had calmed down somewhat. He knew it must be hard for his father but so it was for him. He sighed as he heard his dad talking to him through the door. Jumping up from his bed he walked to the door but didn't opened it. "H-Have fun and I'll do that. B-bye..." Minato replied feeling bad so he opened the door but his father was already gone so he walked back to his desk and did his homework like he was told to.

That afternoon Maki came back tired. He loosened his tie and let out a breath. "Damn I'm so tired." he mumbled then closed the door.

Minato jumped from the couch as he heard the door and so his dad coming back. He wanted to finally talk so he ran to him. "Welcome home!" Minato greeted his dad with a soft smile. "How was work?"

"It was fine." He yawned, he entered the kitchen and took out a beer. After he went into the cabinet and pulled out a lighter. "Give me a minute..." he went into a drawer and pulled out his cigarettes. "Come with me." he said then went into the back yard with the things he grabbed. He sat in a lawn chair and waited for Manato as he lit a cigarette.

Minato just nodded and followed his dad silently. He sighed hoping that this conversation wouldn't be like this morning. So Minato sat down in the other chair and looked at his father expecting him to start talking.

Maki took a breath then blew out smoke. Sometimes when stressed Maki would smoke. "When did this start?" he asked rubbing his eyes.

[Sentaro]

Minato bit his lip slightly as he felt the tense situation. "I-I think it was about 2 months ago when I really found out.....but I guess I have those feelings for way longer...." He replied trying to think back at the time it happened.
