Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on Yaoi Ai:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0 posts) has maximum advertising.
Level 2: (A user with 2 or more posts who has been a member over a week) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts)
Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 30 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising.
Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

I prefer angsty or dark plots, ones that make me feel for the characters. I don't generally like romance though. In manga it's sometimes okay, but it always feels tacky in anime. At least to me. I also like anime that have some form of excitement going on. It doesn't have to be straight up battle, I love xxxHolic because of the exploration of the supernatural even though it has no fighting. I couldn't watch an anime where they just go to school and have drama every day though.

I like almost everything. I'm not to much for shoujo ai and yuri though.
Best must be shounen. The close friendships and skin-ships between men ALWAYS get's my heart to beat a little extra... Maybe I'm looking into it too much, but I think their friendship only i a way to hide their 'real' relationship  |

I like action and adventure. I don't really like watching romance unless i specifically go find some yaoi. My favs are early Bleach (anything up to Aizen), Katekyo Hitman Reborn, YYH, RK, lots of popular ones from the 90s. And of course Dragonballz.

Detective Conan and InuYasha are some of my favorites, but Case Closed Season 2 is seriously lacking..

I'm going to go against the grain and say that plot is nowhere near as important as interesting characters.
An interesting plot with boring characters just makes me want to bang my head against the wall and ask why I'm watching these idiots (characters), and wishing the villain (who's a bit more interesting most of the time in such cases) to come along and slaughter a few of them.
An interesting cast of characters with crappy plot however isn't as bad. Lucky Star for example was pretty popular despite having a very poor overarching plot. Overall it was just about girls sitting around and offering their thoughts on a concept.

I really enjoy fantasy-adventure (like fairy tail, inuyasha... I love magic). I wish for a good and long anime or manga like that, with a pinch of shounain-ai romance :3
