Alan frowned thinking it over. "Not much activity there." he said. "So what do you say you and I sit down and figure out how you want your schedule to go? We can keep the meals as they are, to keep your body from rebelling. And work in some play time, and other activities to exercise your mind as well." It was just a suggestion, and if Cal didn't go for it that was fine.
He kept an eye on the calf to gauge his reaction, and prepared a few ideas to offer if he asked what the options were. He wanted Cal to have a fulfilled life. And in the few days that he'd known the boy, he'd come to care for him greatly. He didn't want to see any harm come to the calf, and he wanted to see him happy.

Cal smiled wide hearing they they would be able to figure something out besides him just being in the barn all the time. If he could learn more things like he had with the tractor then that would be awesome! Honestly he was he type of person a teacher would love, always willing and eager to learn new things, as long as those new things didn't involve veggies. He already hated those enough he didn't want to learn of other ones he hated. So at the offer he nodded then gave Alan a tight squeeze but he did wonder what on earth would they do?
"What sort of games would be play though? Are there ones that work out your mind and your body?" he asked but he was sure that the answer was yes, after all if it wasn't why would Alan have brought it up? Carefully he kissed the male's cheek, mostly because he was excited and very grateful to be getting something new to do in his every day simple life. Maybe the other would be able to teach him whole new games, that idea was exciting in itself.

Alan grinned at Cal's enthusiasm. "Of course!" he said with a nod. "We make up games too. Nothing is limited when you use your imagination. Heck I bet we could figure out one that'll do just that." he said.
He'd been about to suggest making a quiz game using the things on the farm or something like that. But his voice caught in his throat as he felt the timid press of Cal's lips on his cheek. He blushed in spite of himself and looked at the calf, dumbstruck, unable to say a word.
He wasn't mad... that wasn't it at all. No his heart had welled up so much at that little show of affection that it was strangling him. Cutting off his words, and thoughts.

((Sorry it took so long I've been a little frazzled))
Cal smiled hearing Alan and honestly he didn't expect the man to just all the sudden freeze up at the kiss. It was cute though, he really liked it a lot and he found himself wanting to make that happen more often. If he could of course. Carefully he crawled into the other's lap and nuzzled against the man, how he loved being able to be this close to the man. Somehow he couldn't see himself being away from Alan already. If the male left he didn't know what he'd end up doing or what would happen. He'd probably go back to being stubborn with Don only this time his life would more than likely end.
"Alan, you're going to stay here right?" he asked smiling. "I mean, for a real long time right?" he added and looked up at the man with his tail swishing slightly behind him.

Alan smiled. "Yes. I'm going to stay for a long time." he said putting his arms around Cal and holding the calf close. He couldn't think of how he could ever go. It had only been a day and a morning, and he felt like if he left Cal he would be tearing out a piece of himself.
"So, let's see, what's next on the list of things to do?" he asked, resting his chin between Cal's cute little horns.

Cal smiled wide as he felt Alan's chin resting on his head. How it made him smile and he was honestly really happy right now. So he relaxed for the time being but he knew they also would be moving about soon. The man wasn't one to just sit around after all, at least from what the calf had been able to see so far it didn't seem like it. Not like Cal minded, he liked the change of pace and he really wanted to be more active than he had been but that life style wouldn't be easy to get out of.
"Well... let's see, I already had breakfast, according to my schedule I'm supposed to read now until milking time." he said chuckling a bit then looked up at the other. "So until nine we can do whatever I guess." he explained.

Alan thought for a moment then nodded. "Alright, so we'll let your stomach settle then we'll go out and play tag. What do you say?" he offered. There was a smile on his lips. He wanted to make sure that Cal's life was full and fun, not stuck in a stall just reading books.

Cal's face lit up hearing they could play tag later. It'd been a long time since he'd gotten to run around and play a game like tag with someone. Not only that but he was getting hugs and cuddled until then as well. Yup, there was no doubt in his mind that he really did enjoy spending his time with Alan, he'd have to make sure to keep telling farmer Don about that too just to make sure that the older boy could keep his job on the farm. Stretching slightly he closed his eyes in order to enjoy getting these warm cuddles and some sweet relaxing time before getting to run around once again.
"Thanks Alan." he whispered and glanced up at him. "You're really the best, I love having you around, things are different now and so far I like the changes, a lot." he explained to him then relaxed once again.

Alan grinned and playfully ruffled Cal's hair. The calf's word's made his heart swell. "Well I intend to make sure you continue to love having me around." he said with a wink. "Alright so you just let me know when you're ready to go play."
"For now why don't you tell me about your life? You know, what you remember before you came here... If you want to talk about it that is." He wasn't about to force Cal to relive anything unpleasant.

Cal wrapped his arms around Alan firmly, there was a smile on his face and he couldn't wait until the day was under way completely and he got to run around and have fun. Maybe he'd get new games shown to him or something, that sounded like fun to him. Hearing the question though about his life he looked up and his face scrunched slightly as he thought about his life on the farm. Where did it really even start?
"Well I was born on the farm here. Don had a couple of hybrids, I'm not sure where he got them from, but either way they had me. Mom and dad died when I was about seven, which for a human I hear is really young but it's longer than most hybrids have their parents around for." He explained. "During the summers we always used to stay out in the fields with the cows, then sleep in the warm barn during the nights, and winter we just always stayed in where it was warm. But once my parents died Don kept me inside. I was too young to be left unwatched with the cows and he didn't want me to get hurt so I stayed inside. Him and his wife spoil me sometimes and let me come into their home, I think it's cause I'm Don's favorite." he added with a bit of a snicker. "I like reading though, so if Don can find me new books he always picks them up and I think somewhere in the house he's got a room just for my books since I don't want to lose any of them. He's nice letting me keep a collection like that. Honestly I forget all the books I even have."
