"I savor it. I do have to admit that occasionally, I'll have a day after work where I drink mainly to wash my miseries away, but it's rare. I have to suck it up most of the time just to keep myself sane and employed. I absolutely cannot stand beer...beer and rum. I do admire the alcoholic beverages your club bartenders serve. I like sweet things and I just don't have the patience to try any to make anything like them at home." Allistar replied, not minding how rude John sounded just then after he noticed the lines under the brunette's eyes, as adorable as they were.

"Personally I don't believe I have ever drank just to drown my own sorrows away, but I guess it can happen someday. Beer can be pretty good depending on the maker and style and rum is a good base for most drinks. However back in my college days I must say I detest tequila," grimaced John as he remembered the time him and him roommate did shot after shot of tequila after final exams and well...he woke up the next morning hugging the toilet.

Allistar smiled hearing the response he received. "Mm...tequila has always been a hit and a miss. Some days, my body just rejects and others it gives me a spike." he replied, then raised an eyebrow at the brunette. "If you don't mind me asking, why do you stay with the club if it makes you so miserable?"

"It's not that I am miserable, I do enjoy the club despite my demeanor. My friend just says that I am 'up tight' and need to learn how to have fun. To me, business and pleasure should not mix unless it's ones off time," he replied. "Also someone has to be serious in this partnership."

"That is true...and you are doing a good job with making sure the appropriate changes are made. Not to mention your partner isn't necessarily the type to pay attention when things have gone wrong, even the tiniest bit." Allistar said, still looking at John as the waiter returned to give them two wine glasses and a bucket of ice with a bottle of wine with a cork puller inserted into the top. "I always see him with two or three women around him."

"He is a natural people person and is charasmatic even though there are a few women around him whenever he is at work," John smiled as he took a piece of bread and dipped it in the olive oil. "Even when we were in school together, people have always flocked to him." With that he took a bite and licked his lower lip as a the olive oil tried to escape.

"And you? Were you the bookworm?" Allistar asked teasingly as he took the wine from the bucket and uncorked it before pouring him and John a glass. "Not that I find it...unattractive. I myself was so deep in my studies."

"More or less yes I was a bookworm. I was told that I was too studious, but when competing with siblings I had to be," he replied as he took the glass and sipped the wine. "I went to a prestigious university so I couldn't slack on my studies, but I did make decent change by working as a tutor. What made you get into your field? Mainly family obligations I assume?"

"Father wanted a son whom he could pass his legacy onto, and I had to learn financing from a young age and was enrolled in economics at my private school. Most of my childhood was dedicated to studying and learning...I can hardly remember having many friends." Allistar replied, though he didn't sound or look sad about it. In fact, he had grown to be neutral to his past, since his father had already made plans when he was still in the womb and his mother was a regular housewife who didn't complain or argue.

"We have some things in common it seems. I suppose you only socialize for the benefit of the company as well or those you show...interest in?" Asked John as he stared at the other man from over the rim of his glasses. "Not to mention the position you hold you can't be too rambunctious."
