shadows, ghosts, paranormal experiances
Hey, every one i just want to ask all of you what you think of ghosts and the paranormal. To me this subject is always interesting to explore. it always gets negative and positive feedback.
Me personally i'm a strong believer of ghosts and entities from beyond. I have even had a few encounters and experiences with ghosts some not so pleasant, others remarkable. any way before i start rambling on i'd like to hear every one else's thoughts and experiances

I'm incredibly skeptical of anything which can't be quantified and is so designed in a way that makes the best proof human witness which can never be properly verified. I think if there existed supernatural entities based on dead organisms that our advanced technologies and very closely knit social circles would be revealing them on a mass scale everyday.
Have you seen the current global death count?
I put ghosts in the same category as Santa claus, Gods and Alien abductions.
I can't disprove them, but I find their existence highly unlikely on the basis of logical constructs. ^___^

I don't believe it really - I've not seen any proof or evidence in its favour. I kinda dislike how the possible existence of such a thing feeds into things like psychics and mediums which I personally find a bit distasteful, it doesn't sit well with me.
Of course, everyone believes in something (except nihilists who appear to believe in nothing...) and they make everyone unique - and yay for variety!

Well, I'm quite skeptical about it, though something extremely weird and inexplicable happened to me once. It was dark outside, and I looked outside my window to find a dark figure dressed in what appeared to be a black cape, with a black hood, standing in the light of the lamp post. Well, it wasn't under the light, guess it was standing at least two feet away, but anyway, the angle in which the light fell on it, should have revealed the face of the person, yet there was no face to see. As though there was nothing inside that hood. I think I was about 11 at that time, so I really got scared, and ran to tell mother, but when I got back, that thing, whatever it was, had disappeared. I swear it's not a joke. Heck, that was one of the most terrifying experiences in my life.

As a science student, this is interesting to me.
I know that we cant really prove the existence of paranormal entities. But I do believe that there is something. Like, I might be home alone and freaking out (because that's the way I am), and then I will feel as though there is someone else here with me; feel a comforting presence, and it seems to calm me down.
I have also been visited by my dead grandparents in dreams, although, that does indeed sound a little loopy.

every one has different experience for paranormal activities that arise, my first experience was when i was 9 years old, I awoke one night because i could not sleep and went to my parents bedroom to sleep there. I went to lie down and about a minute later it got really cold. and at this time it was the middle of summer so it couldn't have been caused by an open window. I grabbed for a blanket and i saw this smokey cat like figure standing on the bed. it was my immediate instinct to reach my arm out and touch it. doing so, it disappeared into thin air. about a 3 weeks ago a family cat of mine had died in our home. I honestly believe that what i saw was the ghost of that cat which had died. perhaps it wanted to say goodbye one last time :'(

Lol, remember watching some American show that told presumably true stories about families moving into haunted houses, and hearing voices, or seeing objects move, or other creepy crap, but it just made me laugh, cause all of that is such a load of bull!

You never know what is out there. We have an abandoned asylum where I live. Its suposed to be haunted, even if its not it is still creepy as hell. There are enough "haunted" places in my town that there are actualy ghost tours.

Wow, that sounds interesting. We don't have many creepy places here, in fact I'm not sure we even have creepy places, but then again, I'm not the kind to go out that much, so...
