A New Slave

The cook, who was still working away, was quite used to this and paid them no mind. Elias turned to look curiously. "To get you fed," he said simply, patting the other's head. He'd used the term 'master'. It was good to reward pets for good behavior, especially picking it up quickly. He went over to a wooden chair, pulling it out. "Sit," he ordered, gesturing to the chair. He'd work around the handcuffs.

He looked at him with a slightly confused look, but sat in the chair, noticing it wasn't near a table or anything. He kept his hands behind his back, not that he had a choice, finding it very uncomfortable. "Thank you," He said remembering his manners. "At least he could remember that," he thought looking up at him. He was glad to be fed. His stomach rummbled loudly in agreement. But most of all, he wanted something to drink, his throat was so dry.

He wondered if the other remembered he was butt naked. Elias checked that the cook was already making food to feed the new slave. So he got a bowl out of the cupboard and filled it with water. He pulled a chair for himself over, sitting in it. "You must be thirsty," he said, holding up the bowl. "But first, what's your name?" Now for some good conditioning. Behave and follow orders, you got treats. Misbehave, you would receive punishment. And Elias would jump on him for the littlest thing. He might've been a little extra mean, just because this boy was new.

James knew his was naked, and was a little resentful that his master got to wear clothes, but he didn't dare say anything. One of the advantages to having no memories was little self-respect and a lack of modesty. He then said, "I think my name is James, master. Can I have a sip of water now, please," He asked opening his mouth for it, eyeing it with a pleading look. He was so thirsty.

Elias felt himself glare at that. Presumption was not something he allowed. He reached a hand out and firmly thumped 'James' on the forehead. "You will get a drink when I decide you've earned a drink," he said coldly. He frowned a bit. "I will make sure you're punished later. For now, I think making sure you're fed and watered is... more of a priority." There would definitely be adequate punishment later, but right now he needed to take care of his slave's basic needs. He'd done well answering the question, but had ruined it with his attitude. "Now, how old are you?"

"Oww," He whined, blushing red. He didn't know what he had done wrong. But, he didn't want to risk getting thumped again. He heard the next question and answered, "I don't know master. I don't remember." Coming out of anyone else's mouth that could easily have been interpreted as sarcasm, but coming from James's it sounded pathetic, but truthful. He didn't say anything else, not wanting to risk angering the man that controlled the water.

Elias nodded. "That's better, but don't whine," he said, holding the bowl within reach for James. He wouldn't put it at his lips. The other would have to lap at it, like a dog. He could tell from his tone that James really didn't remember. He had no clue what kind of master James would go to, so he had to train him to be able to handle even the harshest of masters. That meant no whining, and speaking when spoken to. A presumptuous question was liable to get him a lot more than a thump.

James frowned but pushed his head out, licking the water with his tongue, lapping it into his mouth rather messingly. He got a lot of it on him, and after a few licks, he made a big mistake. He had tried to position his neck on the edge of the bowl to be able to get at it better, but then he pushed on it too hard and the bowl ended up tipping out of his hands, hitting the floor with a big thump, breaking into several pieces and making a big splash. James looked down, frowning, seeing all the cold water everywhere.

Elias watched as the bowl broke, irritation running through him. He took in a breath through his nose, letting it out slowly through his teeth. "I'd meant to punish you later, once you were fed, but now I see that it can't wait. You need discipline." As he spoke, a maid came in, already starting on taking care of the mess. Elias stood, beckoning to James imperially. "Come. Now," he ordered, striding from the kitchen to the bedroom. It was his workroom as well, for this job.

James turned red, and was scared seeing how angry he was. He quickly wobbled as he followed him out of the kitchen and down the hall to his bedroom. He didn't know what he was about to do to him, but he didn't think he would like it. His stomach gave a loud whine in complaint, he couldn't remember the last time he had been fed. But, he followed him into the bedroom, looking at him nervous. The bowl breaking was an accident after all.
